Thanks for the first one -- the Starter Track Plans. They look interesting and not over difficult to construct. I might even have a go at one or two of them.

This has also happened to me in the past. One workaround I used was to delete the old textures in Content Manager if they were from the DLS and disable them if they were built-in. Then in Surveyor use Delete Missing Assets. Remember to reactive the built-ins.

Hi Yura --
Thanks for your comments.
Hmm -- the better routes to start with?
The sessions where you have to interact with AI trainz can be both stressful and challenging. This rules out two of my favourites, "IntenCity" and "Krashnburne".
The newer sessions where I now use a very large...
I didn't know there actually was a grading / rating score system.
I have a fair number of routes on the Download Station. Each has a reasonably detailed write up in the Forums. For example:

and...
"a Visit into another World"
Absolutely love it!~!
But one of the most memorable quotes from one of the Jurassic Park sequels was:
"It's always lots of oohing and ahhing followed by lots of running and screaming."
The closest I ever got was this one (full screen / 1080p):
It's on the Download Station. It originally began as an exercise to see how many times I could use one complex building structure. Consequently the number of dependencies to download is quite small.
But as mentioned above, the...

True, but the topic might still be of interest to others.
There are really only two that anyone should consider:
Shotcut.
DaVinci Resolve.
The first is open source. The second has a free version and is extremely powerful, once you master it.

Maybe consider downloading routes which actually do have sessions?
Perhaps this:

HD terrain routes. Aston Heights. Must try that. There are two others -- two versions of Clear Lake Mining. The HD versions are updates of earlier T:ANE layouts. The file size jumped from 3.08 MB to 8.9 MB, almost three times the size.

Which route?
"Agree on layers. As a route user they are a pain."
Hmm. I'm a recent convert to Layers. In fact, I wish I'd discovered them years ago. They allow tremendous flexibility. See, for example, at 0:35 onwards in this video (best 1440p / full screen):

Getting back to the title of this thread, "What is the point of HD terrain?" the short answerer is "It looks so much better."
This shows one of the HD routes on the Download Station:

Yes, there are some...
Hi Alberte --
A legend in my lunch time?
Good to see that you are still around. And that you remember me. But, prey, what made you resurrect a thread that is more than a decade old?
