    NSW Sydney Metro South

Phil, I have looked at the Illawarra route and there is a large gap between the two routes between Sutherland and Bombaderry. I thing there is a TRS2020 based Illawarra route which may merge but haven't looked at that. As for the new Metro lines, there is little information readily available...

    NSW Sydney Metro South

Sydney Metro has progressed a lot since that first post in 2016. Now includes Airport Line, Port Botany container terminal, Main West to Penrith, Carlingford, East Hills, Main North & North Shore to Hornsby. All signals are placed and named from DRKD diagrams as far as possible. Several...

A question on AI coupling and uncoupling

I've a session in my TANE/SP4 Sydney Metro route where the standard 'couple' & 'Uncouple' commands works as desired. eg 1. A shunter separately collects an auto carrier wagon then two 8 car indian pacific sets at Everleigh yard delivering them to Central platforms - (Car loading dock, and...

    Placement of Signals Question

Use Boats ASB or an Interlocking tower to protect the crossover. Both are well documented. PG

Is there a limit to the number of moving consists?

Ive copied the route and session across to TRS2022 (122418) and there are several problems appearing. Schedule Library only has some of the schedules listed. IT Set Path shows as invalid. + several others. I guess I'll stay with TANE for a while yet where all of the rules and driver...

Is there a limit to the number of moving consists?

In my Sydney Metro route (in TANESP4) I have set up instructions in the Schedule Library to replicate the real schedules for many of the lines in the Sydney network. My first experiment was the T1 which, in my route runs from Wynyard to Penrith, with an 'all stations' version and an 'express'...

Is there a limit to the number of moving consists?

I don't know about TRS22 but I have upwards of 50 consists running in TANESP4 all with drivers and loading running instructions from the Schedule library. Some are generated by Portals others situated on the route. Works fine for me. PG

Wedge in terrain after merging routes!

The 'wedge' issue was more of a problem with the version if TRAINZ the original route was built in and how the terrain was generated. I think these routes were from TRS2004 (near 20 years ago !!!) and I did the terrain in HOG maybe or freehand. Once merged in current versions you should be...

What is the point of HD Terrain?

I cant see the point of HDT for anyone interested in viewing the landscape through the driver window. Charging thru the route at any speed you lose all fine details anyway and only notice more distant scenery. Using 1m definition DEM data provides plenty of landscape detail when used with many...

Mark. Is it possible that your route will merge with my North Coast line. All the way from Coffs Harbour to Acacia Ridge would be a good drive. PG

    Raise height of everything

Genius !!! I always thought the World Origin was fairly useless. Pity is cant be used to help merge prototypical routes. PG
