No, I'd say it definitely does & I love when route builders do it, it adds an extra touch in my opinion. I'll have to take some inspiration from you actually and keep in mind to do this more on my route :devilish:

Wow those are some great screenshots Tanker! I love how the little details add so much life to an otherwise still environment. Kudos to you or whoever built the route 🔥

I edited my post and moved the images to the website suggested by PLP. Should be viewable to all users now - I'm not from the UK so I didn't know about this. Hopefully this will work. Thank you for the suggestion, seems to work just as well as imgur if not better. :)

Its been a bit of a while since I posted here - I've been kind of burnt out and busy with other things. However, I do have some progress on a new area to show! Today we follow a BR class 117 (I don't think they were ever assigned in this area, but it is a high quality model of a 1st generation...

Me too, it's in fact how I learned of this lovely region and railway's existence :D. Though I got the impression that it was somewhat of a tired topic among railway people? Haha. & it sadly didn't today, it's in fact heading from Barrow back towards what would be North Western rails :)

And here is the fast train: the 14:00-ish London St Pancras to "the Place Which Must Not Be Named" - or rather the ocean floor, as the track we see it on in the last image ended on a jetty in the Walney channel in real life. Starring edh6's fantastic A3 in the role of that other A3 from those...

Thank you very much, that's certainly useful information to know! Jupiter's models are very nice indeed.

Thank you! I hope so too, though I will be busy with uni soon so might not have as much time to work on it. It's going very slowly already :)

Today we follow a 4F on its journey through Barrow-in-Furness with a workers' train - from Millom to the Vickers industries on Barrow Island. Departing from Barrow Central on the Furness Up Main... passing over Salthouse Road and St Luke's Junction... in front of a very empty and...

Thank you for the kind words :) I'm not local to Cumbria or even the UK, so I mostly work with Ordnance Survey maps, Google Street view and what I can gather from historical photos & videos. So if you have anything from circa late 50's to mid 60's and you'd be willing to dig it up, it'd...

I do plan to try doing the rest of the Furness up to Whitehaven if I ever finish the Carnforth to Barrow leg. Still a long way to go though.

An Ivatt 2MT rounds the windswept Cumbrian coast with the 09.55 Barrow-in-Furness to Carnforth. Please excuse the lack of scenery as it's very much WIP...
