The abandoned and existing lines in my area a bit of RR Tycoon in the early days!

Overall, a pretty sad story. Another reason for Trainzers to model these lines before they are completely gone and forgotten so that some of their history can be preserved, even if it is only in simulation.

Chris Sprague {Nawlins} died last March

It's when you read the obits and realize they are talking about people from your own generation and not those "old" people that you sit up and wonder "where did all the years go?" Just goes to show that some people can stay in the relative background but still provide terrific support...

All my typed in names have vanished on my route

Scripts, eh! Wish there was a way to test them except by a process of elimination.

All my typed in names have vanished on my route

So far my map flags, push pins and various placeholder signs are still showing their assigned text but now I'm worried. In which trainz version and build is this happening?

How can I use content manager in My First Trainz Set and other Trainz games with inaccessible content managers?

hoping the creator used items from the DLS and not from third party sites that may or may not still exist.

    Laying Track?

Since most of my routes are Europe based, I tend to use the UIC-C loading gauge by Pikkabird also on the DLS. When I looked up loading gauges in Wikipedia, I see that North America freight uses the AAR standards, plates A to M. And then there is the standard AAR American Passenger Car gauge...

How can I use content manager in My First Trainz Set and other Trainz games with inaccessible content managers?

The way I read the OP question is if there is a CM for earlier versions. Basically NO. TRS2004 had something called TrainzObjects made by TafWeb which provided some way to manage the content. TRS2006 had the first attempt at a native Content Manager

    Laying Track?

I can see the attraction of model railroads, lots of available plans but is it really necessary to imitate the real life physical constraints too? I've met many modelers who wished they had more space than a small corner of a room. Even those that had the use of an entire room wished there was...

    Laying Track?

Is this RP-7.2 only for model railroads, ie NMRA or do prototypical railroads use the same standard? If the tool was a bit taller, there would be room to add the distances. I remember watching model railroaders fussing endlessly over curve radii since most of them had very limited room to build...

    Junk Files Uploaded to DLS

Two issues here, bloated objects that have no technical errors and objects with errors depending on the build. The first would take a lot of work as pware rightly pointed out. I for one wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer if the result is a cleaner DLS. As for the second, that would be harder to...

    Junk Files Uploaded to DLS

Just because "too many polys" is hard to define should not stop the validating process to reign in those objects that are so far over the limit they are in another world. N3V needs to publish target limits based on usage and type of object. That way creators have a target to aim for. Without...

    Laying Track?

Meanwhile, perhaps if the actual c-c distance for each radius was added to the scale it might help. This all supposes a constant radius and that we know what that radius really is.

I think you have to put that link into the dialog box when you click Ctrl+P Pware got there before me.

    Laying Track?

When I click on the link, I see the image in a new window, so that works. I've not used the Trainz Portal for images so not sure if that is the only way to use it. Here is how I used Davoss's gauge. The measuring stick behind his gauge is mine showing the c-c distance at 4.1m.

You don't post a picture directly. Save it on a publicly facing web page. Then link to that location by clicking on the Insert Image icon above or Ctrl+P to open the dialog box. Type or paste the complete address of the image. Some of my guides in Classic Surveyor
