A serious word of warning against an incredibly inefficient spline asset

And now, due to the existence of this thread, your choice is hopefully more informed than it was before. If this was your only takeaway from the info being shared by the OP, then I politely suggest having your head examined

The large cliffs are a combination of several splines that are available on the DLS. If you search "Ziut FW Cliff" you will find them. They are easily the best cliff assets available and I cannot recommend them enough. The smaller rock piles are my own reskins of a set of splines that I believe...

Slowly but surely, I've been chipping away at this 70 mile behemoth that I've named the "Irontown Subdivision". Here is a look at the most recent work. I've taken to calling this short but very formidable area "Alder Canyon". The original ROW through the narrowest part of the canyon was...

    Arn library, v2.51 major issue

Why aren't railroad trains generally locked to the track to prevent derailments?

These girders would have to be obscenely strong and heavy (and expensive) to prevent a train derailment from destroying them. If they were actually strong enough to stop a derailment from spilling over, then you now have a major issue with actually cleaning up damaged equipment, re-railing...

First major attempt at kitbashing. Added the inverter cabinet and handrail from an SD70ACe to an SD70MAC to create a fictional rebuild.

The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

Same location as previous, this time with BC Rail. Manned helpers storm uphill in the rain. The line ahead can be seen doubling back on itself on the mountainside Mid-train remotes. The head-end crosses one of the trestles visible in the first screenshot
