Hi Trevor
Great to hear from you again. Many thanks for the explanation and will have a play with them later today. The instructions look clear enough but I'll see how I get on with them.
Many thanks
Brian
Hi Christopher824
Thanks to Trevor and yourself for producing these assets. Do you have any instructions on how to use the assets in Flat Sort mode please? I've found the hump yard assets very useful but it would be helpful to me to be able to use them in non hump yards as well.

Brian
Hi
Unfortunately this isn't as simple as it appears. I managed to get a test route with a double track mainline to do this back in TS12.
The slow train in front needs to know when a faster train is coming up behind it. I did this by using variables for the section of track on the approach to...
Hi
Using "Enhanced Interlocking Tower"s by author "PGuy" seems to prevent this happening. Since I started using them I haven't seen this problem. As mentioned by John it only seems to happen when using longer rolling stock with two bogies.
There are other path setting and junction controlling...
Hi Davie_UCF
I'm not aware of any other method of displaying the variables - hopefully someone else will chime in with one. I use "Quick CustomHud Manager" by "PGuy" but it still needs the old "Display Custom HUD" rule added to get the variables to show. The "Quick Custom Hud Manager" seems to...
Hi
This was a real problem for me over the years. Since I started using Interlocking Towers to set the paths for a consist it is no longer an issue. The path is locked until the whole train has cleared it.

Hi WSR
I use the Schedule Library to create the schedules for any train and just copy them into whichever driver schedule requires it. I believe that the copy command can also be used to copy schedules from another drivers schedule although I've never used it in that way.

Hi again
You can set the paths either using mission codes as marky7890 says or there are a number of driver commands that can be issued by the AI to set the path ahead. I mainly use mission codes but there are occasions when I need absolute control and so use a direct driver command.
Mission...
Hi
I've been creating AI only sessions for the past 16 years and very quickly understood that if I wanted AI trains to do exactly what I want I needed to give them precise instructions. I do this by setting the path for them and using the Autodrive command which just drives the train and does...
Hi
With regard to triggers.
The Enhanced Interlocking Towers automatically set a path required by a trains Mission Code when the train gets 1Km (0.6 miles) from the start signal. Sometimes this isn't enough for a high speed train or a heavy freight train for example. In such cases you use an...
Hi ianrein
It's years since I used the Crowcombe Heathfield tower and unfortunately I can't remember anything about using it. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth these days and my memory is rapidly deteriorating. Sometimes I can't even remember which route I'm supposed to be working on.
I use...
Hi
I use one EIT for a single line section as it makes it much simpler and avoids confusion as to which EIT is controlling what. I avoid using Drive to/via and particularly Navigate to/via as much as possible as these try to set their own paths which can clash with the EITs. Instead I use...
Hi
When you're setting the path up you will see that the top line is "Path clear method" which has four options. Experiment with these and see if one of them makes a difference.
I'll often throw together a simple route to test an idea out but I find that the best way is to try it on an actual...
Hi
Have a look at this thread https://forums.auran.com/threads/cde-hump-yard-sorting-assets-and-tutorial.164597/
I have used this system on various hump yards and it has worked flawlessly for me. You can tag the cars before they get to the yard and they sort without issue.
