I found a few NG bits and pieces, but didnt want the whole pack. However, just trying to download the engine and tracks from the pack didnt work.
What's the best way to obtain a single ng train, track, tunnel and shed?

In my opening 'project, I've built a 'preserved' steam route. I'm thinking of building a 'connecting' modern station nearby, but wondered if there is a way of setting a scenario whereby the passengers that are unloaded at the modern station...
Is the best way of putting buildings 'higher' to place them, raise them and some sort of way to snap the ground to it?
ie raising a building to platform height etc
How do I start with a standard 'Hornby-esque' 1-board model railway? You know, oval track with a few buildings etc.
Even when I start with 00 scale the track is still tiny, even on a single board?
(No internet on my trainz pc yet so cant dowmnload the hornby route.)
Ok, so I've been browsing the forum and other sites for the past month to try and get a head start. My new laptop is finally here and tonight (technical specs etc allowing) will be my maiden journey into real trainzing.
I will no doubt have a stupid amount of questions, but here are the main...
Just having read the tutorial on tracks and their directions, as well as the bridge one, I'm wondering how to place a double track bridge - as if I place it l-r then surely one of the tracks will be facing the wrong way?
As I'm just starting out, I want to shunt about a bit in sidings etc.
Any ideas for shunting manoevres that would help me do this, as I say, to avoid just having lots of matching formations that stay together all the time.
I have a few ideas for routes (mainly recreating childhood layouts etcbut what should I do first? I don't want to waste any time so any advice is welcome to help me get cracking efficiently!
