I got into Trainz when I downloaded and played the demo versions of TRS2004 and TRS2006 in 2008, when I was 11. I especially liked the surveyor mode that was included with the TRS2004 demo, even though the assets were only limited to the Banks Heath route. After getting the full versions of both, I enjoyed the sizeable amount of content included with them. I would later get TS2009 in 2011, TS12 in 2013, TANE in 2016, and TRS2022 in 2023.
