This is the logic that caused a high number (if not the majority) of softwares to become bloatwares because, yes until very recently high-end hardwares became more and more affordable so the software developpers became kind of lazy and stopped trying to optimize their stuff to run on low-end PCs...

On that I agree, but to fully implement this it would be needed to make a complete spline behaviour overhaul (like for example having the possibility to edit capping meshes as a scenery object...
