    Owner's permission no longer possible

Wow, I know this isn't really the thread for this, but I had no idea that Roy had passed. What a shame. Matt

Tinkering with lighting a little bit on the never-ending Cascade Pass II project (seriously, I will probably never finish this. Please stop with the DM's asking when/if/where it will be released. You know who you are.). Parts of the route just seemed to me to be rather... dull? So I'm trying to...

    4-7-24 - New Payware Releases - BNSF SD9-3, UP SD40 1980's style, B40-8 ATSF including BNSF patch, CN ET44 Heritage Set 1

Those B40-8s are, quite possibly, the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Nice stuff as always guys! Looks like I am going on a shopping spree. Matt

Guys, I'm trying to save money and y'all are making it hard. Great stuff! Matt

Why can't we change our profile pictures?

My guess is that N3V doesn't want to moderate it, so they're only unlocking that feature for people they know. Over on the old boards, you could only choose from a pre-approved list. Maybe XenForo doesn't have that kind of functionality? All speculation, of course. I don't pretend to know...

I have 2 questions that need ansers.

Can't help you with the first one, sorry. The second one, is TRS22 being run with administrator privileges (assuming you're on Windows)? I've found that I have issues saving routes and sessions and such if it's not. Double-check that Trainz is being run as an administrator and see if that fixes...

I may be wrong, because truth be told I haven't bought anything from JR in a while, the bogies are usually included in the main CDP. Try reinstalling the main CDP, if that's unsuccessful, redownload it from your account page at JR. Matt

Hello Hiawathamr - Marias Pass Route X

It's still a great route and the included sessions are a lot of fun (when they want to work), but I agree the current version (for TS12) is quite dated by modern standards. I would give up everything I own and live in a gutter with just my PC to see a new version of the route for current...

More Cascade Pass II stuff. This time, we're focusing on the town of Clyde. Founded just as the railroad was being built through the area, Clyde was intended to be a place where ranchers to the east and loggers to the west could bring their products to market. While the town never had that...

    Amtrak's passenger wagons

There are some great Amfleets (the round ones) on the DLS by trainlover16. I have another set I feel like I got from American Trainz, but it seems those may be gone. There are some Horizon cars by Perrock at americantrainz.com, reskins of DLS models. Matt

It's been a while since I've made any real updates to my Cascade Pass II project. So here's a little bit of progress. East end of the Goodwater Loop and the west end of the route itself so far, hence the grid mountain. Crossing the Camp River at Goodwater Jumping a...

Is 8 gigs of GPU memory enough on a mid range GPU?

I'm currently using a GPU with 8 GB of VRAM, an aging GTX 1070, and it's decent for TRS22 at mid-high settings (ultra makes it chug). In my opinion, 8 GB is the bare minimum. With new, highly-detailed content with high res textures, and PBR textures becoming more common, I would recommend at...
