I've have lost much content over the years, mostly due to my own backing up issues...deleting the wrong folders and so on. What I found to work good is that the bulk of my Trainz content has been downloaded arranged and edited to my liking. Then I saved the content files onto a external hard...
Guys, this person is an imposter. The real RJArtim used to manage a Railworks site and knows how to speak and type proper English. This person doesn't. That is all that needs to be said.
Ben made me many LWV bridges before long before I started modeling myself. At this point I believe I remade all the bridge models...except for one, the Heidelberg Bridge. He was a great model builder when it came to bridges. He had a few issues with texturing though.
I believe he got the idea...
That's the problem with throwing a lot of detail into any route. It's darn near obsolete by the time the route is finished. I've already traded in my lower poly track for the RTXT tracks. It's even got 90lbs track for the Laurel Line Route if I ever want to change it. Plus the dark color ballast...
I was thinking about that. I don't know if it can be done, or if the original creator minds it's being done. Anybody know the best way to get in contact with the maker of this track?
My Bridge Track is not really bridge track. It's just rail without ballast. Actual bridge track has closer ties and check rails. There are a few on the DLStation, but none of them match up to this track. I can make my own, but I would still need the matching rail only track.
This Blk track is perfect for the old anthracite region, but I can't really use it if there is not a rail only or bridge track that matches them. Still looking.
Sometime you can only take your time and remove the modern highways by hand in surveyor. I needed to do this on the Laurel Line Route. I had to remove all traces of interstate 81 through the hillsides of the map. It helps to have aerial photos and topographic maps of the era you are modeling.
Nothing is in limbo except myself! LOL  I have been looking at library systems with in Blender. Since I've been at this modeling thing for so long, I have a folder system that I do use. However it doesn't help my with my occasional back up issues that seem to create for myself. I recently...
After watching many videos on the subject of baking in Blender, I broke down and bought Simple Bake for Blender 4.0. It looks to simplify the UV mapping and baking process. I can set up the exact texture maps needed to import into Trainz. It was cheaper then PBR Painter, costing only $18.
For...
If any content creators out there are reading this, Is the PBR Texture process worth the file size and the computer resources compared to the old .IM process? I'd really like to hear some thoughts on this.
Ok, I stand corrected. After looking at car models from T28, I see that meshes can be separated in the PBR process...but man, all those textures add up on file size!
