    New Jersey Transit electric locos/MU's?

K&L has the old Lackawanna EMUs if you're interested in that era, IIRC they were in service into at least the early 80s. I haven't had any luck finding their modern electric stuff either. Commuter rail has an unfortunate tendency to be ignored in the Trainz community. Edit: fixed a typo

    Engines Wishlist for Jointed Rail.

This might have been suggested before, but I'll suggest them here. EMD E series. There seems to be a lack of quality 50s-60s-70s passenger equipment in general in Trainz.

Suggestions for Jointed Rail (Not Locomotives)

I'll suggest some modern suburban scenery. Modern style strip malls, apartment buildings, and perhaps some rows/splines of cars to make parking lots easier to build. These were made a while back, the site that had them went down but the download link still exists and is available if you search...

    Modern scrap gondolas

Thanks for the suggestion, I have these but they're not quite it. The ones I'm looking for are about the height of a coal hopper.

    Modern scrap gondolas

Hello everyone, Has anyone made any of these types of gondolas? I've been seeing more and more of these over the last half decade or so. I don't know the manufacturers though. I looked around a bunch of sites and couldn't find anything similar.

How do you load double stacks?

Looking at this over a year later and your workaround is a godsend. Can't believe this is still an issue after so long.

    READING: The unloved stepchild

https://postimg.cc/c6pZ2r5z Here's some Reading stuff I found. Crusader is an old set on the DLS, Baldwins are from Trainz Forge, I unfortunately can't remember where I got the geeps. The Crusader set isn't the most detailed thing out there but it's fun. Edit: Forgot to mention the Alcos...

Show Off Your Routes *Potential For Large Screenshots*

I only started this one a few weeks ago, so only a very small area is looking decent. Anyway, this is "Victoria Point Railway," a fictional regional based in South Carolina. Set in the modern day but inspired by the Class Is of the 40s and 50s, with some Metra inspo thrown in on the Charleston...

    READING: The unloved stepchild

RDG had the unfortunate situation, as far as visibility goes, of using trackage rights to get into northern NJ. RDG had no NYC area terminal of their own, the closest they had was the Port Reading facilities. They were pretty well-known around Philly with the commuter service though.

How does one casually identify a freight train on any American road.....

BNSF tends to be a bit harder to identify by radio. Understandably, no one uses full symbols on the radio there, so they typically call out lead engine number. Same thing on UP, at least in my experience. Haven't been around CN enough to know their practice. I actually don't know how railfans on...

    Departure boards

Hello everyone, Wondering if there's any customizable departure boards for large stations. I'm thinking of the type that are on the end of stub-end tracks. Something in function like below: https://ibb.co/21PgQQ6P These are at North Western Station in Chicago but that's just one example I...

Signaling a large passenger terminal (USA)

Thanks so much for the help. So to clarify with the three heads, in a simpler crossover scenario, let's say there's a three track crossover. I'd use 06 if all the crossovers had the same speed and 08 if they had different speeds?

Painting graffiti on trains is a crime. It is also an eyesore.

Part of what's so frustrating about graffiti is that some of those guys actually have talent. They could probably make some actual money if they painted something legal like plywood, etc and sold that. They should still be dragged from the yard in cuffs though. At least here in the South...

How does one casually identify a freight train on any American road.....

In my neck of the woods, passenger trains are pretty easy to identify by time. For freights, it's mostly what I hear on the scanner. Certain freights sometimes come through around certain times of day and often have on-duty times at their origin. To use a local example, CSX L626 usually goes OD...

Signaling and Controlling Draw & Lift bridges by Bendorsey/MSGSapper

I'm a bit late to this thread, but is there a way to make the bridges closed most of the time as they would be on a heavily-used main line (think Dock in Newark, NJ or the Fort Madison, IA bridge)? I'm modeling commuter territory and it doesn't seem too prototypical to stop a rush-hour express...
