Rail cams

Hi folks. I enjoy clicking around the internet to watch rail cams. Most that I have seen either take a picture at certain time or stream them at a shot per second. The best one that I have found is the Roanoke Va. web cam. It's full streaming with no shuttering. You can click on the picture twice and it will give you a full screen of the area. Does anyone know of any other site that has that type of streaming?

Very nice quality...the NS Altoona Horseshoe Curve webcam is not panable, has no sound, and has full stutter @ 2 FPS. The Cresson Inn webcam is just snapshots.

I wonder what type of program it would take for someone to provide a live feed uplink via a laptop in the field, or from a hotel PC ?

I know of a site that may interest you. Jointedrail has placed a cam on the Florida Funnel in Folkston, GA. The funnel is home to a very busy CSX double mainline into Florida. Most trains coming into or out of Florida will pass the cam daily, and this includes the Tropicana Juice Train, various hotshot intermodals, coal, automobiles, general freight, business trains, special moves, military moves, and a whole lot more including 6 daily Amtraks. PO91 and PO92 are the NB and SB Silver Star trains from NY-Miami, PO52 & 53 are the NB & SB Autotrains, and PO97 & 98 are the NB & SB Silver Meteors. There is a $20 subscription fee per year and this is in order to maintain the HD feed we just installed. We are about to get our audio feed back as well. On top of the live streaming video we also offer a live chat room as well as a live scanner feed of the area so you can listen to the dispatchers and trains crews as you see them live. Folkston can offer as many as 80 movements in a 24hr period. We have plenty more upgrades planned as well as adding new cams at various hotspots throughout the US and Canada. Shame the camera looking onto the crossing has slipped down a bit, they might attempt to fix it one day, that is if they are brave enough to climb onto the roof.

There is both Live Sound and Video.
However, depending what time you are viewing at (and where you are in the world), it is probably night, like it is at 10:00AM UTC−05.
I have yet to see it, but the SL Banetsu Monogatari runs to this station.
