This is my first "serious" attempt at creating a route. Comments and criticism are welcome.

Wilhelmina Bay Area, the southern end of Coal County and stage 1 of contruction. The ~30 mile stretch up to the coal mine is still incomplete. This week is a school holiday and I hope to at least finish trackwork and terrain. Wish me luck.

Grade? The climb up to the station and over the tracks to the docks are 2%, while the ones crossing over the power station pipes are 1%. Is that what you mean?

Cheerio,
Nicholas.

Excellant Work!

Excellant work!:Y: I can see that you spent many hours building this one with a lot of attention to detail.

Stunning work! Nice sodding, excellent trackwork, believable city and industry; you've done a hell of a job! How's the frame rates treating you?

Absolutely stunning! Looks absolutely wonderful, easy to tell many hours have gone into it. Keep up the wonderful work! Also as Ed has said how are the frames rates treating you?:p

It's coming along happily. Not silky smooth (around 20 to 30 in the city), oh no, but decent enough with no background applications running. Thanks to all for the encouragement and praise.

Cheerio,
Nicholas.

Wow... Thats beautiful, but if the route is based in the U.S, There is only one problem (its ok if you dont fix it,its just a small error) the crossings are from Europe. but other than that, Great! It looks reaally good. Im looking forward to the possible realease of this one!

heaven7, the grade tool is handy when you need to apply a constant grade to track instead of manually lifting spline points or enter height values. For example, if I want a 2% grade (2 in 100) uphill, I'd enter 2, and click on the lower portion of the spline. In this case, the segment between X and Y.

downhill< X-----------Y------------Z >uphill

Likewise, if I already have the desired height at Z, then the same result can be acquired by applying -2 from Y to Z.

traincrazy: these are the only built-in crossings (that I know of) that won't make the adjoining road section to dip beneath the surface. Most old road splines are a certain height above the ground, and therefore the matching crossings compensate for this by making the connecting spline heights lower. I doubt I'll be able to look on the DLS, as there are perpetual problems with CMP and CM2.

Can you put someone in that sailboat? I doubt they would be below while passing near that bridge!
