In tr2006 sessions are in english but in the new and improved tr2009, sessions such as the Maries Pass are in a foreign language which to me makes tr2009 unusable..there's obviously something about tr2009 that i don't understand...so could one person help me on this...thanks..

This is a known issue as TS2009 included content from other language version of TRS2006 such as TRS2007. The content language was not changed in time for shipping and I believe this issue has been addressed (at least partly) in SP1.

Actually the fix is on DLS.
Get every session with Intro in the title and EB7, ShelbyLocal and CBWheat, they are updates that fix languages in the Intro and MP-Approach sessions.

Marias Pass Sessions in English

English versions for all session are in the kuids. Download these and they will override the originals:
ShelbyLocal,<kuid2:46162:2034:5>
EB7,<kuid2:46162:2033:5>
CBWheat,<kuid2:46162:2032:5>

i meant kuid2 not kuids2
A KUID2 is a KUID that is designed to replace an existing KUID.

Example
KUID2:254038:1000:1

Would replace:
KUID:254038:1000

without deleting the original KUID.

Using this system, content creators can release updated versions of assets which can be easily imported into Trainz. Trainz sees and uses and KUID2 as a normal KUID, so sessions and maps are unaffected.

By changing the last digit on the end, any number of updates can be released.

could u please keep it simple.. driver sessions language

why are the driver sessions not in english..a simple question and i expect a simple answer

You make it very tempting to give you a simply RUDE answer, but I will try to explain it to you in terms you may be able to understand anyway.

Every object that shows in Trainz has a number (KUID) that the program "calls up" when the object is supposed to show. The numbers are needed because there are so many objects made by so many different people in the game the computer must store each one of them somewhere, and each one must be able to be accessed by the program instantly.

Think of a vast store, with every object for sale in the store listed in the store's cash register computer inventory. Each of those items has it's own unique UPC code.

Now then, in 2009 some objects (such as your session instructions) were "mixed up" and the version of 2009 you have was shipped with the KUID number for the instructions written in the German language. The fixes that are listed above change that number in the program to call for the instructions written in English.

Comprende?

language in sessions

i was uncharactisticly very rude with my last question and sincerely apologize..i do appreciate you patience and explaination of what a kuid is..so now i need to learn, as stated in a previous post, how to download the shelby,eb7 and cbwheat kuid2..i don't find any reference to downloading the kuid2 in any download station, etc. on this forum page i'm looking at. thanks if you would still like to help me on this.

Open CM2 and in the Search Action Panel set the pull down menu to Author and enter #46162 and apply. You should get the full list of josefpav's kuids (486 items in my list). Find the 3 html assets and download the :5 versions.
