How does one DISABLE the "large rotating on screen object view" that so miraculously appears when using surveyor in add object mode.

there doesnt seem to be (at least im yet to find) an OFF button for it

in some ways it is useful but i would like to disable it most of the time when i am moving and placing objkects

it also does same for markers, rolling stock etc etc anything placeable shows as a 3d rotating object in middle of screen . obliterating th e view behind

so anyone knowwhere to find the OFF button for this?
