Content creators do you encourage or discourage?

Content creators (meaning route builders, screenshot artist, asset creator and everyone else) do you encourage or discourage questions about your work? I personally encourage questions and do my best to answer them. It matters little to me how the question is framed as long as I understand it. "Yo where did you get that?" will be answered same as "could you please tell me where did you got that?"

If I could ever finish any thing I wouldn't mind any questions. I might up load the little route I am working on.

I will only answer requests, comments and anything else in my threads or anyone else if they ask politely. If they are rude or such they are ignored by me and placed on my ignore list.

End of story. The new forum members have no consideration of others work or have manners. It is absolutly insane. If you live in the USA and you are 10+ you should be speaking proper english and use manners (not counting people who have English as a second language).

It drives me crazy. It has been getting on my nerves and many others.

Cheers,
Adam

I don't mind questions at all as long as they are polite and considerate. I find most members are very considerate. I would have to agree with Titaniclover that poor use of the English language gains no points in my book if English is your primary language. It simply drives me up the wall.

Yea i wouldn't mind if people asked questions on my route as long as the answer isn't right infront of them.

( PS: My sentence is goning to be quoted and fixed up now isn't it:hehe: )

That one will be :P :P :P

Myself. I like it when people ask me politely. If not, I will have a go at them (unless they are a new member, or speak English as a second language). Same with poor use of English...

However, as above, I do like comments on my work! Any criticism, or comments, are welcome. I may have a go at you if they are meant as a put-down, but all in all, any comments to help :)

I will usually post my WIPs and add at the bottom,
Comments, Suggestions, and Criticisms are always welcomed.
This should open up any conversation anybody may want to start. I am obviously looking for those to respond to my work so I may use or apply or delete anything that isn't right and may need 'fixing'.
I will always listen but I may not always comply.

I don't mind people asking questions about the work itself, but when people start asking about when it will be released, it really irritates me. So, if people want to ask me how I got started in content creation, or how I find out information about locos, buildings, etc, I will answer them (to the best I can).

So, yes, I encourage questions, just not time-frame (release date) based ones.

It depends how the question is asked. I'll answer it if it polite like "could you please tell me where you got that? thank you." If it's impolite such as "i want that" or lately the "make an r insert number here" than I ignore it. Questions that are impolite, demand, and are just rude make me want to punch that person in the face. I support manners.

Answering Questions

I'm not a creator unfortunately, but I like to help people enjoy Trainz if I can sort out their problem. The strength of Trainz is its community.

What I find most annoying are people who just complain without checking their facts, or who if they had read the first post of the thread would not have had to ask the question in the first place. Politeness is important without getting worked up over it. Tolerance for those whose command of English is poor is paramount. After all my knowledge of other languages is pretty basic.

Searching the forum is not difficult and as they say there is little that has not been discussed or not discovered previously. Just a shame we lost so much when the old forum crashed.

I enjoy and encourage questions or comments about any of my Trainz projects.

One thing I have discovered over time, is to be patient with poor english... At least long enough to determine origin, as I seem to get a fair number of communications from people in other countries using translaters.

I would agree that both poor use of a primary language and bad manners are irritating.

I agree. I don't think anyone is complaining about poor english by someone from other countries around the world where english isn't their primary language. What irritates me is someone from an english speaking country that can't seem to form a complete sentence. Members who don't have english as a primary language may see these poor representations and believe that's the way it's supposed to be spoken. If you're in elementary school, I forgive you, but if you're at least a teenager, you should know better. Speak your slang and text speak to your friends, not here in the forums...please.
Boy, it felt good to get that off of my chest.

I encourage questions too. I won't answer to dumb questions. I do agree with many of you, as long as there polite, there welcome.

I will answer dumb questions but the answer may not be what you expect.:hehe:
