Northeast Corridor

well i have been playing around with the idea of taking an attempt my self, i actually live a few miles from frankford junction. between my kids and when i do actually start something i just dont always like how it looks. one of these days im just going to pick an area and run with it. i have the entire track plans for the full nec and google earth also helps out a good deal.

Well, if you do, trust me, it would be most welcome! :)

Yes and yes. The session is a simple, but fun, drive from 30th St. to Wilmington.

could I replace the trains in the session and put down the ones I want, because I have the SEPTA silverliner IV and the SEPTA ALP-44 with the shoreliners

Yes, you could. There are several SEPTA stations already in the map, so I created scenarios just for SEPTA running both ways at different times of day. To do this, I also cleared the tracks of existing trains and used different DLS stock. [Note - one thing that might annoy you like it did me is that the route author laid down some track barriers on the SEPTA line, which do NOT affect functionality (you can drive through them)...but I deleted that small section of track with the barrier and re-drew the track.]

On a side note, I also created an absolutely crazy scenario on this map where I placed the TGV at the Baltimore end of the map on the track that runs through the wildlife reserve, then a bunch of industry, then near the Casino, and eventually into North Philly. Removed the rules about speed overage, sat back, and had a grand time at insane speeds. :)

Thank You For The Comments

Wow, Thank you for the comments.

TPR has worked over 3 years on the project.

I included all of the SEPTA stations except Newark, as it is just a bit South of Wilmington.
I have the complete DEM from DC to Philly, but for purposes of AUran, I litererally cut the South 100 miles off at Wilmington.
TPR DOES plan to release the ENTIRE NEC someday. Anyone care to help???

ESPECIALLY with content. I did the best I could wtih 30th street, and my calls for help on the forum went unanswered. If anyone would like to help build it for the full version release, you would be welcome!

ALso the route is SEASONAL!!! ALL TEXTURES AND TREES ARE SEASONAL!
Has anyone tried the Summer, Winter, and Fall sessions?
I included teh SEPTA stations and trains that stop at all of them, as well as a NS freight train at various points and switching things. Has anyone tried them yet?

I'm interested in seeing you folks try the Fall and Winter versions :) They look AWESOME on my machine, so some of you screenshot wizards should try it.

Zoo is included, but only at the North end, as it IS complex and there really wasn't anyplace to go. Sorry. I have the DEM from Philly North, so I'll include it more completely as we progress North.

Had to only include rolling stock that was on the DLS, or created for us with permission, so couldn't include some of the really nice stuff out there on private sites. I tried to use Conny's AEM-7, but got no response :(
REALLY would like to see some SEPTA stuff, especially electroliners!

Thanks again for the great shots.
The DC to Wilmington section has about 1/4 scenery in, so it will be a while before it is out... but... always looking for helpers and testers and content creators... :)

ENJOY!
Jeff

i promise you as soon as i get this game you'll see a lot of SEPTA action I'll even upload some videos to you tube and post pics here when I'm finished with redoing over the sessions

A MARC cab car leads the way as it pulls into Wilmington on a Cloudy July day.

*bump* I don't want this thread to die. Just a question, what Amtrak electrics come with the route? I know I have ts12 registered i just can't use it yet. Gotta focus on my finals.
