Submission closed. The voting is here.

Ouch, I forgot about this. :o Sorry for the delay.

This week's theme: Large railyards (suggested by kittycraft).

One screenshot allowed per entrant. Screenshots must adhere to the theme and the Code of Conduct.

Submission closes on April 2 at 12:00 a. m. UTC (April 1 at 7:00 p. m. here in the eastern U. S.), after which point voting will begin.

Next week's theme: Photo recreations (suggested by normhart).

Please feel free to PM me with suggestions for themes, etc. They are appreciated! :)

Good luck. :)

Regards,

Zachary.

I understand what Large railyards means, but I'm not sure what "Photo recreations" means. Would we need to post a copy of the photo that is being recreated along with the screenshot? If so, that could be problematic. Posting photos that are copyrighted would be a violation of the copyright laws. In order to avoid that, only non-copyrighted photos could be used. This would reduce the number of legal entries.

Certainly, if a copyrighted photo is posted somewhere on the web, a link could be provided. That, however, would make the voting process more difficult and, as we have seen, the number of voters has been quite a bit less than the number of entries lately...pity.

Cheers,
Fred

Yes, the idea will be to recreate a real photo as a Trainz screenshot. The real photo, or just a link to it, should be posted along with the screenshot.

Another thing that has been down lately is the number of good theme suggestions coming in. Remember, if you guys have any good ideas for future themes, please PM them to me. They are appreciated.

@jcalmx55: This week's theme is large railyards. I do not see a large railyard in your screenshot, so its vote count will be halved in the voting results. Feel free to edit your post and chane the screenshot to one that fits the theme before submission closes.

Regards,

Zachary.

Henry's not feeling up to it today. I guess BR's Matchbox Loco will have to tow him to the sheds again.

Smallville Yard UMR Winter TS12

The problem with large yards is that they're... well... large. Very hard to capture a screenie that demonstrates that. This yard covers four miles, the small smudge in the upper center is the Hump Yard tower about a mile and a quarter away. The buildings to the right of center are about two miles away and the yard extends another half mile beyond them. To the left and behind this view from the Outbound Yard tower the Outbound Yard extends almost a mile and a half.

Another explanation would be that you can't read, spell, or punctuate.

Cheers,
Fred
Hahahaha, yeah that's it! Or better even better explanation is that you can use this wonderful tool called the internet on your cellular device! It's amazing bud it just not the best for grammar, punctuation or spelling 100% of the time and it's even harder on a touch screen. And you making the assumption that I can't read is just takes pure geniuse! Lol but next time I use it I'll take another half hour to go over it and make my oh so important reply to one of my threads just to make old Freddy boy happy. lol
