And ruin Daniel's fun?

Anyway, getting back on topic, two preliminary Surveyor shots of an experimental module that travels through farmland.

I know they aren't the best shots, however that hasn't stopped me yet!:hehe: Any ideas/suggestions for improvement would be most welcome.

Matt.

mattm, looking good so far - the only thing I would suggest is that crops rarely go right up to the fence line - I usually sprinkle a bit of green and some "windbreak" trees along a fenceline, to break up the paddocks a bit.

Still, like the idea, my line is going to transfer from cattle/sheep country to grain growing country soon, so I'll have to start thinking along the lines that you are!

Raichase, since you have chosen not to accept PM's, I need to contact you using the email option ASAP, if that is okay - It is possibly important.

Hello Ron, great to see you back :)

I just made up a name one saturday afternoon, becuase i was bored. The route is a freelance Queensland Government Railways Route set in a small end of the line place like Imbil and many small towns at the end of a railhead. The era is the mid 1960's. I hope that fills the gaps that I left out. :p

Even; is their a slim chance that we could work together on a QR Version.

Matt; Woundeful shots, I wish mine was good as yours but at lest I try my best, and thats the main thing.

Daniel, Good to see you again and thank you. Keep up the woundeful work.

I am looking for Beta testers for my select routes, any hands becuase they would be greatly welcome.

Regards

Micheal, I'd be happy to assist you with this. The completion of the HSC has freed up much time for me lately. Explains Why I have had the patience to build this carriage :hehe: I'm up to the guttering for my car at the moment. Out of curiosity, does anyone have a Gmax compatible mesh or a plan for the roll-over seats fitted to these cars I could use?
Replys to my PM inbox.

Kind Regards,
Evan.

Red_Rattler, e-mail is not a problem, I got your email okay and when I tried to reply through the forum, I was unable to, so I sent you an e-mail to your address. Here's hoping you recieved it, if not, yes that's my website :).

Michael, thanks for the comment. Much appreciated. If your routes will run in '09 SP3, I'd be happy to give them a look-see.

Raichase, thanks for the pointers. I'm aware of the issue with the fences, I was more interested in getting the basics down first. When I have some time tomorrow, I'll go back and make a few cosmetic changes; after I have a look at a few areas in Google Earth. That was where I got the idea for a grain country module in the first place, and I will be making good use of it over the next few days.

It's just a pity that resolution out in areas of Western NSW is so poor, as that is the look I am trying to emulate with this module

G'day Michael,
I got your email. I was partway through replying to it when I noted your forum post, and decided I could kill a couple of birds with one stone.

Yet another update: Work on the roof has begun.

Let me know of any noticeable faults.

Evan.

Matt, could it be the 60 Class book, I've defiantly heard that somewhere aswell.

This is a small selection of some of the trains one might see just standing at Maitland station for half an hour.
(All these trains appear semi randomly, well the two Intermodals were straight after the midday Up and Down XPT's)

If there are too many shots, tell me and I'll remove some.:D

Great shots! :udrool:

I have two questions.

Is that route available for download anywhere?
What is the green loco behind the NR class in the second shot?

Didn't you get my reply? I sent it the day you e-mailed me

No I didn't receive it. I might have accidentally deleted it while I was fighting off spammers. :o

Thankyou

The AD-60 class were indeed restricted by single line tunnels. it was due to the central position of the cab relative to the entire unit one further safety issue arose, in that if the loco stalled in a tunnel there was no safe passage out of the tunnel past the hot cylinders. Normally a loco only has these at one end whereas the Garratt has them at both.

Thanks Scott, I wouldn't like to try and get past those cylinders!
Ronayne, thanks. The route is a WIP of mine, and that loco is an AN, found on the dls by Vinnybarb. It's a great model!
