Default Useless First Class Ticket

How long do I have to wait to have my FCT working? I see my bank account showing that my credit card has been charged. In my profile they say that my FCT will expire Nov 06, 2010.
I haven't been able to download one byte since I paid for my FCT not even at the 4 Kps speed.
Seems that Auran or whoever got my money is already discounting days for a service that hasn't yet started.
Unfortunately, that company is not here in USA to make them accountable for

It sometimes takes a while for the activation process to occur. Being a week-end I'm not sure if it will be done before Monday.
I assume that you have opted to activate it in your profile.

It's a silly question, but have you "Activated" your First Class Ticket?

Go to PLANET AURAN and Log In

Then when you are logged in, go to "Download Tickets" (column on left)

You should see the First Class Ticket you bought listed with the word "Activate" by the side of it.

Just click on the "Activate" and that's it! Bob's Your Uncle!

If you have already done that, then sorry for teaching Grandma to suck eggs but I just wanted to be helpful!

All the Best

Ian

Thanks for your quick responses. I have already done the activation. I am getting this message when I tried to download something: "Unable to download, the server appears to be full, please try again later..."

Really fustrating....

Wait a day or so. It will begin to work. Some people it works right away, others it takes a few hours, and others a day. So please know what you are talking about before you go off saying that this is a rip off. Don't say that you will have 1 less day because it didn't activate, because you usually keep the same speed for a day or 2 after it expires therefore balancing it out.

Gandalf,
My ticket was bought last night. Activated last night. showed on CMP at say 00.30 hrs. All done through the internet.
Once it shows on CMP as active should then the download speed not be at the level expected.
Personally I thought it would take 24 hrs for FCT to work.
Maybe Auran should tell folk it will take up to ??hrs for the expected speed.

Make sure your user name & password is in CMP settings. Even if they are in there, click on "SAVE" This sometimes resets things in your a/c. (I'd even turn off some of the filters you don't need running, then click on "save" again).
Worth a try. Good luck.
Cheers, Mac...

Indeed you were one of the lucky ones then. But that does not mean it is effective as far as the download speed. It took my old FCT about 6 hours for CMP to recognize it, then took the rest of the day to get the actual DL speeds. When your CMP does not recognize the FCT or the DL speed I found it is best NOT to download anything.

Fran1:

Have you read the info at the link given in PerRock's reply?

They do tell you, it's 24 hours. Probably longer over a weekend so perhaps you should read it as 24 normal working hours, and remember Auran are in Australia.

and for ffccnn:

If FCT's work for several thousand other users perhaps it will work for you.....the problem may be that your firewall or anti virus settings are not letting data through.

I will wait with baited breath for this leap into the future and not complain yet.
However I'm now on 23 hrs from activation. Is all this business not automatic, as in computer controlled.

As per the knowledgebase article, if the methods described in there do not work, then please leave a ticket on the helpdesk. Please allow a number of days for us to reply, as we are currently extremely busy (expecting another 120 tickets tomorrow morning...).

Thank you for your patience.
