TS2009 SP2 Release Candidate Available For Download

After months of work and slaving over hot computers the development team for Trainz Simulator 2009 is ready to release the TS2009 SP2 Release Candidate. The SP2:RC contains a multitude of bug fixes and new features and has been thoroughly tested by our dedicated beta teams over at TrainzDev to ensure that this release provides an improved experience over previous versions of TS2009.

What is a Release Candidate?
An RC is a completed version with everything as we expect in it for the official release. The product has already been through multiple rounds of Beta Testing with fixes provided during this phase. However due to the limited number of Beta testers there are always possibilities that a bug has not been found. It is for this reason that the RC is only made available for manual installation for the moment until we confirm that the RC is stable enough to push out through all avenues.

Please ensure you download the right patch for your version of TS2009. If your version is not listed here you will need to wait for the auto-patching which will become available next week.

SP2 Addendum

Here’s an update to the SP2 release, unfortunately we have found some issues with the patcher for SP2, all the links we posted before will work fine so no worries there, however we are not happy with releasing all the auto patching builds at this time. We have created some manual patches for you to use and released an auto patch the build we posted last Friday. (Don’t worry if your game doesn’t auto patch, it just means were still working to make sure it functions as it should).

We apologize that we could not get the auto patching to you this week, but a slight delay is better than causing you any problems with your builds.

• Fixed a number of built in assets that used excessive buffers.
