06 vs. 09

I've got a simple question:

Is 09 going to be as buggy as 06?

I've never had a good experience with 06, i reinstalled it last week and i still havent managed to get any content for it so i haven't bothered using it.

I bet you a tenner it will be worse then TRS2006.

I love your confidence and optimism Remilliard but if the bet is open to all comers, you're going to lose a lot of money :)

I'll certainly take the bet on.

There are so many bugs in 06 they will won't solve them all in 09, theres just too many.

When the game is eventually releaesed I'll bet there will be a whole page of threads with problems with the game.

"I bet you a tenner it will be worse then TRS2006."

I don't think so, 3 years of effort since 06 and you think it will be worse?

Optimism has nothing to do with this. I am an optimistic person when there is reason to it. Auran has managed to screw up nearly any and all product since TRS2004 ... and now the customers should be confident that TS2009 will be any different? I remember you and Fury and your "confidence" about its success. That worked out well didn't it. Next project was TC3 which was underdeveloped, undertested and has been tossed aside by you within three months after its release. I ask you: which has more truth? My lack of confidence in you and your company or your unfounded self-confidence when you can show nothing that earns you to boost about it? You sir, are a failure and a thief.

I thought TC3 turned out OK actually considering the circumstances. Libelous accusations towards Tony is not very likely to promote your cause much is it.

Mike.

I was disappointed by TRS2006 and by-passed TC1 & 2.

I thought TC3 was a vast improvement over '06, and even better than my beloved TRS2004.

I've been using the beta of TRS2009. It's good; damn good. It has restored my faith in both Auran and Tony (and no, this is not a paid advertisement!). I'll certainly be getting the final version of this one.

Good on you Tony! It seems to be a human failing to be dismal or think the worst before we actually know or experience something! I for one am glad I came across Trainz by sheer chance three years ago and engaged my interest during a lengthy period of illhealth (still ge odd difficult times). Could never have done what presently doing or going to build next on MTS. Most "games" will have some kind of bug, goodness we even get them in basic pc operating systems so why should perfection be expected everywhere in an imperfect world?

Until I discoverd Trainz my pc was mainly used for serious stuff and voluntary community projects so this programme was a good nudge into something wider. I have also bult up a common bond with a couple of members here that I value much as we share a common hobby/interest. As they would say in the venacular of my city here (Glasgow, (Trainz), pure deid, brilliant, man".

Here go the "knockers" - most of the past problems with TRS 2006 have been self inflicted by users not following install instructions etc. As always there will be the few who will looking forward to the opportunity to complain and create masses of useless posts about problems which do not exist for the majority of Trainzers.
The old saying regarding "don't blame the tools" certainly applies in a lot of cases over the past years.
I for one am looking forward to the release of TRS 2009 and I am confident that with due care and use the program will give as much - if not more - satisfaction than the previous excellent productions.
I now wait for the inevitable pessimistic response.

Well a lot of the TRS2006 bugs were resolved in TC3. TRS2009 so far isn't looking too bad. I think they have some work to go on CMP or CM2 from beta 1 mainly to do with finding items on the DLS that have new kuid2 versions. I think I have two bugs outstanding on TRS2009 bug list both of which are it would be nice to have but neither are show stoppers.

Since when is the truth libellous?

You seem to have forgotten that your personal opinion is not the truth that would stand up in a court. That is where your contention could be tested and I have no doubt at all that you would lose not only the case but a considerable sum in damages as well.

This is an open forum, you maligned him in a public place, and you owe him a public apology.

Unpleasant and rude posts like yours are not welcome here. I would like to tell you my opinion of you but that would bring me down to your level.

I, too, will have to agree with the positive side of this thread. As a '09 beta tester, things are looking pretty good. I'm an '04 lover, tried '06 then went back to '04 and haven't bought another Auran product since. But, I have found '09 to be a pleasant newcomer.
I believe they may be on the right track for once. (Pun intended.)

Wrong. It is not a personal opinion. Tony was personally responsible for the fiasco that is called Fury and THAT would stand in court. Of course you would have to drag me to Kangaroo-land first to even get to court, but that is besides the point. Furthermore I have as less interest in your opinion as you have in mine, so sod off and continue to suck-up to the ones that are on your "level".

I notice your one of these people that never fill in their details in the profile option.

Very brave.

Hmmm, does that mean you actually believe what people write on their profile pages? You are not from this world amigo! If you are in need of any details about me personally I invite you to come over and we will have a few beers and then I will tell you how I truly feel. Until then ... bugger off.
