Hey - what are you doing to my Bidye Traction route? It's meant to be a dirty, grimy, decapitated, run-down, post-industrial layout. The sort of place you only see in the really bad end of town.

You've turned it into a pleasant, green, tranquil place where the birds sing, and families might go to picnic and see the occasional train pass by.

Actually it looks impressive. Incredibly impressive.

Honestly, I think it looks more realistic to at least have grass growing in old lines...this isn't Sodor, we're not ballasting the track with toxic lead tailings, so something is gonna grow! :hehe:

I have to second Trainboi.

That said, I agree with Philskene's assessment as well. It would be interesting to find some of the more abandoned assets and make an overgrown "former" industrial area.....

Edited to add:
@Jankvis:
THere are also some "Garden Square" type Object Assets that you can plink down as well, if you're going for the more "Cultured Nature" look. That way you won't have Trees just randomly growing out of Concrete, but you can give them their own little dirt patches to flourish in ^^.

@philskene
:):hehe:.... THX man

I really like your MR layouts. In fact, I'm kind of addicted:o... I could not resist to plant some trees to 'greenify' it a little bit but I'll try to keep clear of the industrial core...

take care, Jan

Got alpenglow?

(that was extremely hard to replicate; it could use some fine-tuning but I'm happy for now)

Urban renewal in progress...

Next, those dilapidated buildings will be transformed into high-priced condominiums, with chic little boutiques and classy restaurants. The tenants will start complaining about the noisy and dangerous trains invading their little mecca.

Then all train service will cease, all the tracks ripped up and converted to walking trails and dog parks.

So much for your Bidye Traction route! :eek:

Very nice work Bob i really like the British stuff folk's have been showing lately in here.
Cheers Mick.
In a year or so, when I finish this route (1930s GWR Cornwall Mainline and Branches) I will do a home based (Australian) route - just don't know which one to do. Any ideas Mick?
