Have a problem with D&C Speeder #10 <kuid2:86661:10:1>:

How preodalet this problem?
 
Just downloaded it, shows in game with no issues. The only difference in cm is the your first icon in the status bar, yellow ring with crossed line, black background. What is that ?
 
That symbol means built-in content with a restriction applied - usually certain older built-in content or payware DLC content in TS12 SP1.

Termin - have you installed any payware addon packs?

Yes. I have paid content.

That would explain the symbol in that case. You may need to check with the asset's creator to find out what's going on.

fran1 - do you happen to have Murchinson installed as well?

Not sure, but it sounds like a dependency problem. Use View Dependencies to check if the speeder you refer to is a dependency of the Murchinson sessions.

Reason I ask is because I believe the offending asset may also be part of the Murchinson pack (possibly in a modified form), and will be very interested to see if anyone else has had the same issue as Termin.

I have just checked my speeder which is from the Murchinson pack and all that shows is two close arrows and the invisible vehicle cannot be deleted unless you add and couple a different vehicle then delete the consist.

In a separate exercise I downloaded the speeder from the dls into my TS12 pre SP1 without Murchinson and that shows up as it should.

It would therefore appear that the Murchinson speeder is faulty even though it has the same kuid as the one on the dls. As a protected asset it is not possible to import the version from the dls using the overwrite option because the open for edit asset cannot be commited.

So it would seem that the free version is fine but the one that people have paid for is a pile of xxxx.
 
<kuid:86661:10> is a Trainz Service Pack 3 version, <kuid2:86661:10:1> is TRS2004 version both are on the dls black pages but are of no use because we cannot replace the one from the Murchinson pack

The kuid is the same as I downloaded this morning, looking at Termins dependancy list he has 2 redhen sounds. I only have 1.
 
Fran - Did you miss post 12? I also downloaded the speeder today and these are the dependencies I see:

One redhen,100432, is the engine sound the other is the horn.
 
From memory, N3V (in the form of James Moody) stated recently that there have been some re-uploads (and possibly fixes) of certain TRS2004 assets that are connected with the Murchinson pack that were uploaded by N3V. I've a feeling that N3V need to be made aware of this ASAP if they are not already.

A workaround if you have an earlier version of Trainz into which you can install <kuid2:86661:10:1> from the dls, is to open the asset for edit, then using windows explorer copy the D&C Speeder #10 folder from the userdata/editing folder to for example the desktop. Open the folder and edit the config.txt file to make the asset kuid ,<kuid2:86661:10:2>. If you now go back to your TS12 with Murchinson content manager you can use import content to load your modified version of the speeder. This will obsolete the <kuid2:86661:10:1> version and you will have a working Speeder.

I have just checked the date of <kuid2:86661:10:1> on the black pages and it was uploaded on the 12 Feb 2014, so they might have corrected the asset but they have given it the same version number as the Murchinson asset.
