Australian screenshots

Some screenshots of the forthcoming Downer EDi Demonstrators LDP 001-003 with QRNational logos, this unit should be available from the DLS after this weekend. Just click the pictures below to get a full size view of these screenshots.











In case someone asks about the route these screenshots were taken, from the excellent build in TS12 Mojave Desert.

Thank you for letting me know, I certainly will try these out. Yes the LDP/SCT Classes have a unique horn sound, I hear the SCT Class almost every day, living next to the railway tracks and next to one of the 2 rail crossings here in Peterborough, SA. The SCT Class having only 2 horns each horn unit has a sound like a car horn, only much louder.

My sincere Condolences to you and your family loosing someone like your father would be a hard time i know for me it was, i lost my father 20 years ago and he was the one responsible for my interest in trains in general. My QDR Suburban series was inspired by his interest in trains and for the fact he lived in Brisbane from the mid 1940s through to the late 1960s and when its completed will be dedicated to him and m y other family members that lived in Brisbane that have long since passed. When i ran these maps it brings back the happy memories and times i shared with them.

Thankyou to everyone for their condolences, my family and I truly appreciate them. Yes my Dad was someone who had a lot to do with me developing an interest in railways, from the days when we used to go down to the RTM on a regular basis. Though I liked steam I preferred diesel and Dad and I always had conflicting views on which was better; steam or diesel! :hehe: Funnily enough I now work in the rail industry as well.

I will always have the memories!

It may have slipped your consciousness, but this is a forum centred around screenshots of Australian content. I am sure that I speak for a good number of people who frequent this forum when I ask you very nicely to stop and desist with your domestic disputes on this forum. You may get an appreciative audience on social media sites, but I'm sure that a good number of people here would appreciate you taking your never ending slanging match elsewhere. It is highly inappropriate here especially when one member is grieving the very recent loss of his father. So I am asking you politely on this occasion to stop.

Since this IS a screenshot forum, it is my turn to show off some of the screenshots I took recently while testing my creations. Starting with some Oz locomotives (blatant and cunning way to advertise and show off my new creations :p) I took a drag and pull test in TS12's excellent build in Mojave Sub route. Click the small pictures to get a much larger one with all the details.

Taking off from the other end of the Horseshoe curve:

no worries here while still on the flats (take notice of the slightly dirty SCT 003):

As X46 says, plus PN's TT Class and G&W's GWA Class. That takes care of the similar line/build of these fine locomotives.

After that I probably have to get stuck in the never ending quest of the SAR BlueBirds, the 100, 200 and 280 Classes I have started several years ago. These were made already for TRS04 but were never released by me. Since then I have added scripted driver and lights/marker lights change, Normal Mapping, passengers and freight enabled, auto opening doors when stopping at stations, animated fans, brand new super bogies for the BBs I have also made already (which will also fit the Oz coaches I have already made and are on the DLS and would like to upgrade to TS12 standards) plus with much more details added. These SAR BBs are about 85% finished so far, as I needed some more details I did not know of their construction. A few months ago I visited the Pt. Adelaide Rail Museum and have gotten all the details I ever needed as they have beside other BBs also the old Barossa Wine Train there, all BBs.

While there I have seen the old AN Budd RDC and the SAR 930 Class Alco diesel among many other locomotives I would like to upgrade or create one day if possible with many more details as some of these currently on the DLS or in game have, from which I took many pictures. I might have a crack at recreating these fine locomotives with modern TS12 creating methods, perhaps one of these days.

The Overland coaches plus the remake/upgrade of the Ghan-Indy coaches I already had created in the past is also on my do to list, whether I will run out of time before (re) creating/upgrading is a possibility with the serious health issues I currently battle.

Plus the new locomotives like the XStrata XRN Class, PN's PN Class, then their 8000/8300 Class and the 9000/9200 Class, ARG's AC Class and Q Class, Freightlink's FQ Class and of course before I forget, SCT's new CSR Class too. Whether I get there to create any of these is not up to me.
