Trainz Keeps Freezing, Registery Help

OK, Well I have now owned Trainz for about 3 weeks now, I gotta say I am very dissapointed. Mostly due to game freezes. Play game file, then It just locks up. I cant even do a CTRL ALT DEL. COmpletely freezes everything. Have to hard reset all the time. This happens during gameplay, or in Menu, Even clicking on the trainz icon on my desktop will sometimes lock my PC, Its not my computer, I have no issues running any other software....
Also another Bummer is about every other day it forgets my account info and product registery key, So I have to keep re-entering that information on the splash screen. Very annoying :(, Any Downloads I started are all gone. I have to start them all over again
Someone please help. Almost ready to toss the game. (Which I dont want to do ) Maybe railworks is better... ARRGG!!!!

PhilipRussell,

Can you please supply your systems specifications? This can be done by going to 'start', then clicking on 'run' (note, you may need to go to 'all programs', then to 'accessories' to find the run tool). Once the run window has loaded, type in 'dxdiag', then click ok. Once the dxdiag window has loaded, click on 'save all information', and save the .txt file to your desktop. Then, paste the contents of the .txt to your reply.

Kind regards,

Kris

That is symptomatic of trying to run TRS 12 on a laptop or desktop computer with on-board built-in graphics and/or insufficient memory (RAM). Trs12 is very graphics intensive and prefers stand alone graphics cards with at least 1GB of RAM on board. That is why Kris is asking for your computer specs.

quick rundown on PC

Desktop
AMD FX 6100 (6 Core) 3.3GHZ Processor
8 gigs ram
AMD RAdion HD 6750 Vid Card. 1 Gig Ram
128 Gig SSD drive

System specs are fine. Are you running OpenGL or Directx graphics? This is a options setting accessible from the splash screen

Andy

Looks like your card is good, I don't think anyone else has suggested, but try right-click "run as administrator" when launching the game. Also make sure all of your amd drivers are up to date.

Could be an install problem then but before doing a new install try an extended database repair from the file menu in Content Manager. Running as Adminsitrator may solve the problems you are having with your password not being remembered

Andy

Was having the same problem with the random freezing, left with no option but to alt+ctrl+del out of the game, system specs are fine more or less equal to above but with more RAM, but this seems to have fixed the issue as of now, tho I haven't spent my normal 3 or 4 hours on it building a route yet but after a few short test runs things are looking good.

Thanks for the help and effort XD
