Russian steam locomotives

Does anybody have any links to any Russian steam locos. I've checked all of the popular Russian sites, there are plenty of diesel and electric but no steam.
Are there any payware sites with Russian steam.

Steam Locomotive Works used to offer payware models of a TE and two Ty23 locos but they were withdrawn from sale last month.
They currently offer a DVD compilation of their withdrawn content which I believe would include them:

I could post some screenshots of them if you are interested.

Here are some freeware ones.
For 1520mm broad gauge:

For 750mm narrow gauge:

A rusted version of the above set up as scenery is here:

I have a few other reskins of the P36 from another site but unfortunately when I tried to visit it tonight using Comodo Dragon,
I got a warning that the web page contains content from a site known to have malware.
All other sites I have listed have no issues to my knowledge.

Hi Barry
Thanks for responding with this useful information.
I visited the site selling the DVD but it is €99 and most of them are German, at half the price I would have bought it but I think the price is a bit steep.
I downloaded the TE model from one site but there a 5 missing dependancies which are nearly impossible to track down. It's a pity really as it was the big Russian steam locos that I was particularly interested in.

Thanks
Ken

It's true, only 3 russian steam locos exist in internet. Also 2 or 3 are "in process", but I don't know the dates of their release.

The dependencies are available for download here:
http://ifolder.ru/18450064
On that page near the bottom it says (translated)
At the moment, foreign traffic in this file is bigger than Russia's. You can get this file only if you visit our advertisers to help pay for our servers and channels. Click here to go to the selection of advertisers.

Click on сюда (here).
You will then be taken to a list of advertisers. Click one and their website will appear in a frame. there will be a countdown on the right side of the frame.
Once the countdown has finished, a popup will attempt to open. Let it and you will be presented with a captcha.
Enter it and click on прочесть.
You will be then be given the option to cкачать (download) the file.
If you need more help let me know.

FYI, that info was appreciated, but be aware that sites like that crawl with malware and viruses. I even got a warning for one, city******.com.

Hi Barry
Thanks for your help but I have now located the missing dependancies.

Regards

Ken

Glad to see you have them working now.
If you need any help with the other locos I linked to let me know.

I got a warning myself regarding a pop-up, but as Dragon (a Chromium based web browser) had not allowed it to load, I just closed it and continued.
One certainly does have to be cautious on that sort of site though.

Sorry for bumping an old(er) topic, but maybe a lot has changed the last 20 months and I have the same (or similar) question.

I am looking for Russian steam locomotives.
Requirement: Completely available (including all dependencies and dependencies of dependencies) on the DLS.
Reason: Intended to be used in a multiplayer session (which requires everything to be on the DLS).

Can anyone help me with this question?
Searching for "Region = Russian Federation" does not work if the content is not on your local machine.

"Wearsprada made the above locomotive, I believe, or was involved."

I always had the feeling it was a relative of this locomotive

Thanks for the reactions.
Wearsprada made the above locomotive, I believe, or was involved. Nice stuff anyways...
Yeah, Wearsprada sure made some nice Russian stuff. Found a great diesel engine from his hand on the DLS but was not able to find any steam yet. Also checked out the work of a few other Russian creators who provided built-in Russian material, but no luck so far.

Going to dig up that session of you, Philskene, and see if I can find that steam loco.
Edit: Found it pretty quick, but no luck (which I could have guessed if I had read your post less quick):
Philskene USSR session description said:
All the required dependencies are built in or on the Download Station except for the Russian L class locomotive.

If anyone else has any idea's; please let me know!
