Stuff that I do. (XXL pictures)

So yeah, I thought it might be a good idea to open up a thread for my doings again....

If all goes well, I´ll release the stuff via TrainzPA when it is done.

Recently, I´m reworking/changing/desecrating some older routes to something that suits my craving for more transition-age routes with a high operational potential.

On my list are Chrisracers Holly Sub and gfishers St.Johnsburry & LaMoille routes.
Once they are done, they´ll look pretty different. I merely use the routes as an outline and freelance my madness into it.

First up some new shots from the Holly Redux Project.

The (working) hump yard by night/early dawn:

As you can see, I made up a CMTM script for the route. Was a hell of a work, which ate up some time (and maybe some nerves as well!) but now I am pretty proud of getting it to work.
A huge thanks to DAP for making that asset and keep explaining it to me when I had trouble.

The area around the hump yard. (semi-finished)

DM yard.

I also made up my mind about operating the route when its done.
As I am not that much a scenery guy, that´s what I am focused on: running it!

The route has interchanges with 3 other companies at Durant (PRR), Holly (C&O) and DM yard (NYC & PRR).

There are 8 portals on it which can be configured to spew out trains which can be classified at Durant and Pontiac.

For now, there are about 20 daily movements on it. Plus extras and transfer runs between the yards and ICs.

There are 6 yards on it. One is the hump yard and there is also a yard just for the GM plant in Pontiac.

It should keep you occupied for a while.

Feedback/critics/etc is appreciated and always welcome!

A trip from Pontiac Yard to Detroit Portal.

The bend to the passenger depot....

After passing Ross Street Yard....

... we meet a heavy freighter from Detroit at DM Yard.

There is also a local from NYCs DM Interchange waiting.

The curve to the connection with the PRR, with which we share the tracks to Detroit. Pretty industrious area here!

After the heavy freight cleares the next block, the local heads out to Pontiac Yard.
Passing Sterling Tankfarm....

Another project in the making.

Small hopper switching thingy.
Based on Thurmond (Ex-C&O).
Trackwork is in place.
CMTM is written.
Signals of Grahamsea are set up.

Set up:
-Mainline portals emit MTs and through freights and passenger trains in a random sequence. 3-4 destinations for MTs.
-Branchline portals emit loads every XX minutes. 3 destinations for the loaded cars.
-2 switch engines working the yard and sorting the MTs and loads into trains to be send to the portals. Trying not to get the yard congested.

Some WIP shots.

Some details are done, but this is just a tiny section of it, so it´ll take some more tons of time.

Besides that, there is still Holly Redux, another winter re-building project and I have to rough in the track layout for Altoona yard.
Have to get into making up a timetable for Holly Redux.
To say it with Andys words: "Too many projects"!
:p

Say, this is looking rather interesting :)

May I ask where the steam locomotive in the sixth images can be found?

Cheers
Stevo

Sure thing, Steve.

You cannot find them, but you can purchase them from Wgkandsk.
:)

Thanks for your comment.
