Some times the steam enthusiast group down here send locos to locations with their passenger consists like that then stick one at the other end to run push pull. There's actually an event coming up at the PBR featuring a double header that I have a hunch will be run like that for at least part of the journey :p

SPNG #1 takes a train up towards Irving on Rollins Pass. This little engine with a decently sized train is a real challenge, especially here.

For a short time, the Murchison Lumber Company tested an 0-6-6-0 Mallet of a DONJ design. While a capable locomotive, they decided it did not meet their needs and returned it and bought a 3 truck shay instead. Here the Mallet, still painted for its previous owner, the Portland & Southwestern, hauls its last load of logs on the Murchison.

Dang, that's a beefy little thing. Great lighting effects, and I love the detail. However, the springs seem a bit wrong to me...I would think that the drivers should be centered under the springs, as shown on the original S100 dock tank here. Other than that, once you finish the valve gear, it'll be an engine of stunning quality.

Hi

Many thanks for your kind advice. The reason for it looks like this is that the drivers are the JR's B8a Camel back 0-6-0's(I made some reskin work). It's smaller than the USATC S100's driver. In fact, this is my first locomotive and I have to build it step by step. Now I just finished the work of body, including smoke setting, attach points, lighting effects etc. In my next step, I will build the real drivers for it and make the XK2 real.:p There seems still lots of work to do.

I am really happy you like it.

Sorry for my poor English...

Cheers
Felix
