New Aircraft

Thanks Rob, I am also slowing down my reskin works these days. I am only finishing models which were started before and stopped for unknown reasons..

Today, a Citroen type H van, with Air France markings.

Soon at the DLS.

It sounds like most people are slowing down a bit. I, like Pascal, am concentration on finishing off outstanding work I've started on and not finished for some reason. This is mostly because Trainz 2009/2010 are both due to end of life in September 2014, meaning that I'll need to move to either TS12 or wait for T:ANE's release to be able to upload to the DLS.

On the unfinished business note - here is one more 737-219 that has snuck onto the DLS:

Can't quite figure out if the cockpit windows are too high or the cabin windows are too low, but looking good none-the-less. KUID kuid:591192:1002 // ZK-NAC should you want it.

Hi,

My Citroën type H vans, with Air Inter and Air France colours are now HD.

Thanks to Jean-Pierre Guyader (guyader1 - 244265) who is updating his vehicle collection to HD standards with 3 LODs meshes.
See DLS or his website: http://trenbirinik.jimdo.com/

Just uploaded and available soon.

My old computers motherboard and one of it's hard drives failed a week ago. Thankfully everything has made the transition to a replacement (and much newer) PC ok, with one rather odd exception:

This was QANTAS NZ Dash-8-100 ZK-NEU, now looking like a cross between a camouflage aircraft and something from the Matrix movies.

So far everything else is working fine, and it's still fully flyable. However, it might have to visit the paint shops soon if for no other reason then marketing is unhappy with the lack of branding on it.

However it's certainly a distinctive looking bird to fly!

Wow! Lucky our collective works are stored by Auran on DLS. We can always bring our birds back from the brink of extinction.

Here are a few skins I've been working on. All three are operated by Harbour Air, Vancouver.

Are there any other pre-made building assets, animated airports, such as the 2 that came with TRS2006, that have animated planes taking off ... or are those the only 2 airports that come ready animated ?

I don't think so, all the planes here are made for climbing into the cockpit and flying. I'm sure you could sweet talk one of them into building one though. :) Or, if you don't feel like waiting, a lil kitbashing and some AI will work just as well in a pinch.

I can't check the DLS to confirm there aren't any other airports because I'm on vacation, but it's a fairly safe assumption.

Hope this helps!

cascaderailroad,

The only animated airport stuff I can think of is the aircraft by arraial. Many of them are animated to turn the corner & take off. They're not drivable like the vulcan models but may well suit your needs. You'll have to build your own airport buildings runways & taxiways but between the vulcan & willem2 assets I'm sure you'll find a way. The arraial aircraft are quite detailed as well.

New reskin of a B 707, now on the parking with a Viscount of the same airline:

Following the update by Vulcan of his DC3 model, I also updated my DC3 reskins accordingly.

I took this opportunity to correct and add details, so that these aircrafts look now more realistic.

Thanks Gordon.

I am still following the deliveries of the Airbus A380.

This one has been very recently commissioned by Asiana Airline: Airbus A380-841.

Here, during landing procedure:

Lovey models you got I can't help but look at them its nice to see other things besides trains all the time. Would you be willing to make spaceships as well at some-point ?

Nice BAC TSR2 ! Sketchup model by PM3D, but grounded like the prototype for ever..

Another oldie, this Boeing B737-200 of South African Airways. Old livery of the 90's, with former South African flag, and Springbok on orange tail.

DHC-3T Turbo Otter - Whistler Air

I know it's been some months since I released a new aircraft re-skin but I have been working away during that time & have quite a few to be released all at once.

A DHC-3T Turbo Otter is on final approach at the Vancouver South Seaplane Base (CAM9), or the Flying Beaver Bar & Grill. It is returning from the ski resort of Whistler.

DHC-3TWhistlerAir00_zps56181087.jpg

A couple of little bounces off the river before some reverse thrust to slow it down.
It's a Whistler Air aircraft operated by Harbour Air in it's distinctive yellow livery. Harbour Air seem to own quite a few of the Vancouver based sea planes including the Westcoast Air Twin Otters.

DHC-3TWhistlerAir01_zps1f9e37d4.jpg

Many thanks to our fearless leader (Vulcan) for some model touch up work on the DHC-3T. A couple of little surface glitches were fixed along with some work on the sound transitions at lower seeds.
Available now on DLS.
