I have another list of kuids that I need help trying to resolve. This list comes from the 'view dependencies' (right click) in the Content Manager:

Can anyone provide some help in resolving this problem?

pb15,<kuid:-3:10105> is the enginesound for the QR PB15 loco and is builtin to all versions of Trainz since UTC. If you don't have it you might have a faulty installation.

kuid:96914:54516 may be found at http://www.steammachine.com/bdaneal/ngdl.htm. Go to the link and scroll down to find EBT Heavy 2-8-2 #17 and download file ebt-17.cdp.

The rest of your list tells me nothing. Just saying broken or broken dependency means nothing as far anyone being able to help you. You should post the error msg you see in CM. It is easier to just work one faulty loco at a time since the solution to one may apply to the others so you won't have to copy/paste a lot of error msgs. Also post which version you're seeing these problems in.

The ones I have listed appears in my 'railyard' and in the 'vehicles' tab when I'm in surveyor, but they are lettered in red. I did not see the QR PB15 does not show up as a vehicle in the 'vehicles' tab in surveyor nor the railyard. Here's the revised list:

To start with, you forgot the include the operative words 'error' and/or 'warning'. Which of the above are errors and which are warnings? You can ignore the warnings since they won't preclude your using them. Just fix the errors.

I got the Baldwin Light 2-8-2 to work, but here's the revised list:

USRA 2-10-2 (and USRA 4-8-2):
'Errors and Warnings'
1 Error:
Attachment point attachment (a.stoker) in 'soundscript\dayloop2' was not found

usra lmount b0:
'Errors and Warnings'
4 Errors:
Unable to load primary texture 'windows.tga' for texture file 'windows-windows_a.texture.txt'
Unable to load alpha texture 'windows_a.bmp' for texture file 'windows-windows_a.texture.txt'
The primary and alpha texture are not the same size for 'windows-windows_a.texture.txt'
Binary conversion failed for texture resource 'windows-windows_a.texture.txt'

blw con b2:
'Errors and Warnings'
1 Error:
Texture 'engine_black.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'blw_con_b2.im'

What can I do to correct these errors?

USRA 2-10-2.
A check of the mesh shows there is no a.stoker attachment point so use Content Manager, right click kuid and select Edit - Edit in Explorer. Double click the config.txt file and delete the dayloop2 container. In case you don't know what a container looks like, these are the lines to delete:
Code:
  dayloop2
  {
    repeat-delay                        0
    distance                            5,150
    attachment                          "a.stoker"
    volume                              0.75

    sound
    {
      sound/stokereng.wav
    }
  }
then save and commit.

usra lmount b0:
Open it for Edit - Edit in Explorer and delete this file:
windows-windows_a.texture.txt
then save and commit.

blw con b2:
You need to find or make a small black texture file and name it engine_black.ext and then create a small text file using Notepad and save it as engine_black.texture.txt. The contents of this text file are:

Primary=engine_black.ext
Tile=st

Open blw con b2 for Edit - Edit in Explorer and put the texture file and the text file in it, then save and commit.
Note. The term .ext is the file extension abreviation. If you make a bitmap texture file it will be .bmp. If you find a targa texture file it will be .tga. Replace the occurances of .ext in my instructions with the suitable extension.

USRA 2-10-2.
A check of the mesh shows there is no a.stoker attachment point so use Content Manager, right click kuid and select Edit - Edit in Explorer. Double click the config.txt file and delete the dayloop2 container.

Alternate is to edit the dayloop2 container and change attachment tag value "a.stoker" to "a.limback". This attachment point exists in the mesh and is located within a few feet of actual location of the stoker engine.

I was able to get the USRA 2-10-2 and 4-8-2 to work, but I need somebody to explain in layman's terms how to resolve the problem with blw con b2.

blw con b2,<kuid2:96914:504862:1> is builtin in TS2010 and has NO errors. If you've edited it and commited it will have errors. Open it for Edit the right click it and select revert or revert to original, whichever is available.

Bob Weber

I think I may have found the problem. I went into one of my 2-8-0s and it shows that blw con b2 has the KUID <kuid:96914:504862>, not the KUID you showed. I looked in the 'Out of Date' and 'Download Station' tabs in the Content Manager and looked up the KUID you listed and could not find it. I also went to the Download Station website and put in the KUID and found nothing. Could that be the problem?

blw con b2,<kuid2:96914:504862:1> is dependency for cincysouthernrwy's L&M 2-8-0 155,<kuid:45588:4864>. That must be where I got it from.

I know that I haven't posted anything recently, but after going to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's (Chattanooga, Tennessee) Railfest and seeing Norfolk Southern Southern-Painted GP59 #4610, I decided to see if I could download it onto Trainz 12. I found it on the Download Station (GP59 Norfolk Southern 4610 SR Green), but when I download it, the Content Manager showed that there was a missing KUID called <kuid2:45324:50015:1>. I looked around the Download Station for this KUID, but was unable to find it. I looked at the 'Errors and Warnings' in the Content manager and here's the warnings that were listed:
1. Dependency <kuid2:45324:50015:1> is unknown
2. Unable to load mesh file: 'gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_shadow\gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_shadow.pm'

I also tried downloading a Norfolk Southern F7A (NS F7A), but there seen to be three unknown KUIDs: <kuid:37581:1151>, <kuid2:45324:28100:1>, and <kuid2:45324:50022:2>. I was unable to find it anywhere on the Download Station.

I also decided to downloaded the Norfolk Southern SD70 (L SD70 Norfolk Southern PRR), and found that it was faulty. Here's the warnings listed under 'Errors and Warnings':
1. Unable to load primary texture 'sd70_body/numberboard.tga' for texture file 'sd70_body/numberboard-numberboardopacity.texture.txt'.
2. The primary and alpha texture are not the same size for 'sd70_body/numberboard-numberboardopacity.texture.txt'.
3. Binary conversion failed for texture resource 'sd70_body/numberboard-numberboardopacity.texture.txt'.

Any help?

Why did someone answer this 2 year old thread anyway, I'm sure the OP has now found the missing asset over this length of time, or, are you still looking for it, Bob.......:hehe:

@ jordan412

kuid2:45324:50015:2 is a Blomberg M type bogey (black a) by Justin C on the jointedrail website, cannot remember which locomotive I obtained it from now though, sorry.

And your other error messages - Unable to load mesh file: 'gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_shadow\gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_shadow.pm'

This means that there is no shadow folder in your main package, you have to create a folder yourself, so, firstly find the pm file which is normally in the body folder and copy it, paste it into your 'new folder', change the file name from gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_body.pm to gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_shadow.pm and then make your 'new folder' name gp59 norfolk southern 4610 sr green_shadow and you should be able to commit the asset and the error message will disappear.

And also your error message - Unable to load primary texture 'sd70_body/numberboard.tga' for texture file 'sd70_body/numberboard-numberboardopacity.texture.txt'.

You need to look in the asset body folder, there should be a text document for the numberboard.txt, read what it says in the document, it may look like this -

Primary=numberboard.tga
Tile=st

you then have to create a .tga file, so, get one of the other .tga files from inside the folder, doesn't matter what the size is, a low number preferably, such as 1 / 3 / 5 kb, and then change the name of it to numberboard.tga and commit and your CMP should now recognise that there is a .tga file present.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

I know that this is off-topic, but how do you use Trainz Paintshed with TS12? I downloaded it from the download station, but I can't find a way to acess it. Can anyone help?
