Morning all

Just a few shots of an Auckland to Wellington goods heading through the Lower North Island.

Hi Bradleybale2006, What log wagon is that one and is it a preloaded one or have you loaded it in surveyor? There is also a logs 50 ft Clinch wagon <kuid2:69871:2077:5> available on the DLS for TANE that was modified recently by Phil Skene. It can be preloaded and looks good but in my game the loads disappear once you scroll back from them. Phil said it doesn't happen in his game so I don't know whats wrong with mine but those wagons of yours look good and if the logs stay visible throughout, irrespective the of the distance they are viewed from, I would appreciate the name/kuid of the wagon and where it is available from. There are others preloaded ones on the DLS but are painted in unusual bright colours for a log wagon. The log loads are too small also and not representative of the NZ scene like the ones are in your photo. Cheers

Evening all

Just some shots of a run to Upper Hutt this evening, strengthened to 8 cars as a result of the cricket at the Cake Tin, mainly taken by passengers.

A passenger has just got off the last car at Ava and whipped out the phone for a pic

Much the same story at Wingate

A railfan was out late at the Silverstream Bridge this evening - trying to forget about NZ's loss.

Another passenger patiently waits for our train to depart Silverstream before heading over to Maccas for dinner

I liked this shot: I was trying to get a good sighting of the signal at Sutherland Ave after leaving Heretaunga and the starters at Trentham gave this light show

As the train empties out, one last interested passenger pulls out the phone at Wallaceville

Hi Ryan,

Passengers won't be going to Macca's for dinner for some time now. Macca's burned down about a couple of weeks ago and they now have a totally empty plot of land there.

Cheers,

Hey Ryan,
I've been searching for some decent QR passenger stock to run on my "Redcliffe Line" (3'6" gauge) and I noticed the NZR FP/FT EMU you've been using in your screenshots. I wasn't sure if you were using TS12 or T:ANE, so I downloaded the set from the 'Trainzone' website into TS12 and because it worked well, I also downloaded it into T:ANE; and found that it works equally as well. I know the build is only 2.5 and may not last the distance in T:ANE but it 'does' have the correct gauge for Queensland Rail.

I gave it a run on my Redcliffe Line and here's a couple of screenshots. I didn't have time to insert the running numbers.

The NZ gear looks almost at home. It looks like I'll have to do a swap from STD gauge to 3'6" gauge track to make it more complete.

I noticed from the website, thanks to Sirgibby, but in particular to Trevor Burt, Bill69 and RyanMcC. Any thoughts about making it to T:ANE standard, and possibly with opening doors?

Cheers,

Hi there everybody I am trying to model Taihape rail yards and having no luck
With information
I even tried to get in touch with ONTRACK to see if they could let me have the Yard plans
with no luck
So I was wondering if someone from here could help
I am also trying to find a copy of a book by DENIS ROBERTSON
Called Give Me Taihape On A Saturday Night
if you could help with this that would be good also
There are NO copies of this book for sale in NZ

Thank you all for your help in advance
Chris Sullivan

Google maps, then select the earth option.

Hi everyone.

I am new (sorta, owned a few Trainz games in the past) and thought I would share some screenies that I took recently. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any NZ routes or modern rolling stock, so the only thing NZ currently is the loco's.

Evening all

Well that's it - the end of an era in Wellington. As mentioned above, the last Ganz ran this afternoon. No more looking out the front window for the passengers and with that, a severe loss of interest for the youngsters no doubt. Anyway, here are some shots of my last trip last night to Taita and back.

I was able to capture this shot of it going over the bridge:

P.S: It really is a pain for a rail enthusiast living in a town that has no rail lines near it whatsoever, but I dragged myself out to McLellan Street once again. This time however, I stayed a bit longer and got some more footage:
(Just to clarify, I don't actually live in Tawa, but it's the only place I know close enough to me with level crossings and a sufficient amount of trains)

Christchurch, haven't done any more to this for almost a year, serve's me right for building a route with over 1000 base boards

Looking good mate. I find that I get into too much detail then give up. Need to just buy a route of someone. Manawatu-wanganui area anyone??

gagingabong, Im already ahead of you on that idea of the Manawatu - Wanganui route. Started it 2 years ago and I have it running from Kai Iwi to Marton at the moment. Next stage is to Palmerston North and adventually, through the gorge and to Pahiatua. I would show some photos but I don't know how to upload them.

Minty,

Have a read thru this thread. http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?97021-How-to-use-quot-Host-then-Post-quot

http://hostthenpost.org/index.php

One of the easier ways to post screenshots in the forum. (If you have any problems, PM me with your cellphone number and I'll call ya and walk you thru posting screenshots)...

Cheers, Mac...

Thats awesome. What era is it based? I've lived in wanganui and palmy all my life so I know this track well.
I once attempted castlecliff to eastown but the detail of the town was too much.
I did however get a decent palmy yard and station but lost it when I got a new computer

also on a side note- New Zealand content anyone? Willing to pay. Dsc, dsg, rolling stock ect :)

Ah, Thanks Meatloaf

gagingabong, I have (tried) made it modern era. I have got all the gradients correct between East Town and Marton and also Kai Iwi. The track has been laid and all that is left now to do is the terrain and buildings, farms, roads etc. I'm trying not to get too carried away with the track at this stage as the area i have done now is enough for me to run on. Its nearly 1 - 1 scale but its close enough as it is. I also recently went on a Steam Incorporated trip to Wanganui which will now help me with how the terrain looks. But it shall be fun times ahead.

Westmere Bank

Turakina

Heading up away from Turakina

Whangaehu or also known as Ruatangata Loop

And one of the first screen shots of the route when it was only from Taupo Quay - East Town - Kai-Iwi. I put the extra track in there so I could go from Castlecliff to Kai-Iwi more easily
