DD 658 sits in 2 road at Lilydale before departure with a heavy goods.

With a V class banking the train, DD 658 storms up the hill out of Lilydale.

Baldwin V499 working hard at the rear as pushes the train up the hill.

Cresting the hill, DD 658 passes the stop board where V499 will be stopped before returning to Lilydale.

Having shut off steam and applied the brakes, V499 comes to a stop at the top of the hill, whilst the goods steams onward to Melbourne.

Having completed it's banking duties, V499 drifts back into Lilydale.

    Regards
    Zec

Close but was always only a timber trestle - I lived for many years in old railway cottage just to the right of this shot opposite the old fuel depot.

The bridge is now gone removed by the council/John Holland on the grounds that if anybody wants to use the line they have to put it back, the line is still open just mothballed - it takes an act of parliament to close line officially in NSW and nobody have ever passed the laws for this line .

    cheers

    Hi all,

Been lurking around again. It's been 10 years since I uploaded my Sandy Banks to Bongo Creek RBC 2007 route to the DLS, so I thought I might try and update it to TANE. I have almost completed work on this version, but I am still deciding which Railway track to use.

I am currently using the TSM Track WWL SK3 by AlexanderG which I think is Russian, but I would like to use something updated to Tane's features. Like Procedural Track.

This isn't the extended version, this is the original route that started it all. I have also updated the Oxford to Queens route, but that will take a lot more time to complete. I just want to get this version out before Auran release a new version of Trainz or something...... Plus build some multiplayer sessions for it.

    ..... anyway

    Happy new year.

    Regards

There is a nsw procedural track available Axe1970, I use it on my routes that I'm building.
