[Update: nevermind] RIP Southern Pacific 343

Today is a sad day for SP fans.
I went on to Facebook and saw the following post: "Now officially a fallen flag, 343 is the last untouched SP unit in service, it arrived in North Little Rock this afternoon & is scheduled for repaint in a few days." Yep. You read that correctly. SP 343 is getting repainted. Its last assignment as #343 was being the rear DPU on MPSNL-25.

All I can say is....
RIP Southern Pacific 343.

EDIT: According to HU, 343 is the DPU on a Q train to North Platte! SP lives... For now...

BUMP!

Got some news for you SP fans: Just saw on Sunday (1/15/2017) what may be Union Pacific AC4400CW #6362, still in Southern Pacific colors, though it's patched. So the Southern Pacific isn't completely gone. I'm not 100% certain that that's the number, but here's a picture of #6362, though it was taken on the 7th in Gainesville, Georgia: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/602379/
