P&R Shamokin Division Route

A view from the Pennsy's track into Shenandoah looking down onto the Reading. Off to the left is the Shenandoah City Colliery. The Lehigh Valley snakes through Shenandoah at street level. The switchback to the Reading's freight station can be seen in the top center on the bridge.

This breaker is Lost Creek colliery viewed from the Reading's track. This really gives the effect of what it was like in this area.

That's looking great.

The underpass is really well done. There are some on the DLS. I think Ben Dorsey or maybe it was Frogpipe that made some. I can't remember. Those are those concrete kind which I'm not sure if you want.

I have been busy learning blender so I can build my own buildings so i haven't worked on this in a while. I'll soon be starting on Shenandoah. I have finished up to with in a half mile of Shenandoah.

This is awesome!!! ive been looking for this as im from the area. I think people in the area should refer to how we live on top of the largest continuing vein of anthracite more often haha. There r quite a few buildings made from the Tamaqua area...A few more from Port Carbon also. I woulnt mind mondernizing it a bit and adding Jim Thorpe area for the passenger excursions and also further north as moder day railroading up that way is big buisness these days and some of ur route already is close to that area. I just never had the patience to make it. So cool and nicely done.

Thanks! I have been working on the track of the route mostly lately and slowly adding scenery. I was using the trees in the previous pictures but i have upgraded to TANE so I lost those and I'm not sure if they work or not. To keep the game running smoothly I plan on using spline forest for distant forest. The route is currently from Locust Summit to Tamaqua on the Shamokin Division, the Wabash branch and Schuylkill Valley Branch go from Tamaqua to the start of the Main at Pottsville Junction, and the Catawissa Branch from East Mahanoy Junction up to Lofty.

Haucks. The CNJ is off to the right, it interchanged with the Reading and ran on rights up to Silverbrook Junction. The double track in the center heads east to East Mahanoy Junction, and west to Lofty. The tracks to the left are the Tamanend Branch.
