Is there a way to make a heads out view for engines? Open the window. You have 3 different ways to look out the window.

Some day (not soon) when they do create a trainzoptions file for T:ANE (like in all the other Trainz versions), you will be able to use freeintcam. and do this

You can always edit the camera positions in the config and or add additional ones.

But that will only work for the interior mesh which may or may not include the outside of the locomotive so you may have only the cab of the loco. The best way is to add a.outsideviewx ( where x is a number 0,1,2 etc.) attachment points to the main loco mesh using PEV's Attachment Maker and then add these points to the interior config file camera position list.

You can also attach an invisible loco, and go into it's cab and get an unobstructed view ... some of Snipers railcars have a ride along brakeman on the ladder, which have their own cab view

I think that a.outsideviewx ( where x is a number 0,1,2 etc.) attachment points don't work in TANE. I created invisible cabs for my subway cars and it worked.

We were told that this feature is on the to-do list for sometime in the future.
