The Illinois Railway Museum Route

Me and Bendorsey are back again with another IRM Route Progress update, The Schroder Store has been finished, we have done 2 versions that are being uploaded to the DLS right now as we speak, one that captures the right size of the real store and one that is slightly longer since these will also make good generic buildings for anyone to use on other routes. Here is some screenshots of the the IRM version.

IRM is slowly growing with every asset and with every asset made is another another step towards release of V1 of this route, so keep an eye on this thread for there is more to come very soon from us both. Again I would also like to thank Bendorsey for all of his great work and for also keeping my route project alive from becoming vaporware. :)

Thanks Leo655annst for the complement. Plus I have a question that I need help answered. What type of switch stand is this and is there any examples of this version available to download anywhere? The museum grounds has a lot of these.

Hello everyone, I would like to announce something that I totally forgot to do until today because Ive been so busy working on multiple projects for this route that while I was going my list of assets I had in Content Manager, I stumbled across all of the reskins that me and Chickenjoe did last year that we did off of Whitepass Heavyweight pullmans and I got the go ahead from Whitepass to release them, its just that I kept forgetting to put them up for release since then well its about time I put them out so here they are ladies and gentlemen...

Many thanks for Chickenjoe who did a fantastic job on these coach reskins and many thanks to Whitepass for allowing us to release them.

Now I know some of you are thinking "Whats this got to do with the Illinois Railway Museum Route Project"? Well here is why, what we originally planned was to do just only passenger cars that are present in IRM's collection, well after we did all that, we thought, "Why stop now when we can do a lot more?" so we decided to keep going and do even more coaches from both preserved examples and ones from fallen flag railroads as well so even thought the amount of what we both did has gone beyond IRM in mind but I want it to be released here because as I said we did all the coaches we can possible do that were present at IRM so thats why Im releasing them here.

We got more coaches done but they are reskins from other creators stuff that we are still waiting permission to get the green light for release so stay tuned on that.

Now thats done, its back to the route work I go... :)

Thanks for the complement, we got more coaches coming and we plan on making more in the future on that so stay tuned here for more future releases of passenger car reskins to come from Chickenjoe and myself.

No problem, and yes this might as well be an early Christmas present. Maybe it was a good thing that I totally forgot about releasing these extremely late. :hehe: Hope you like them all.

Tickets Please.... Me and Bendorsey got another building done today and its the IRM entrance ticket booth, (Complete with custom signs) its been uploaded to the DLS right now. I say it before and I will say it again, hats off to Bendorsey and his hard work and professionalism.

Thanks Dave, Im very glad I've gotten this far, But I have to give thanks more to the content creators contributing to this project because if it wasn't for them, this route would had been just another pipe dream. :)

Laying out BDW1964's IRM Overhead Wire splines to see how they line up with the track work at Johnson Siding before I head to downtown Chicago today for a German Christmas festival.

Hello everyone, Bendorsey has done it again by scratching off another building on "Things need to be made" list. He has finished this building of this 1920's Sunoco Gas Station building that IRM acquired many years ago from the state of Ohio, the real one has yet to find a permanent spot on the museum grounds but for now the real one is being stored by the Museum's Buildings and Grounds Department buildings all boarded up since right now the museum needs to first finished the restoration on the Schroder Store Building first before they could move onto this project. Here is a screenshot of Ben's model below (Note the Gas Pumps, these are not made by bendorsey and were made by someone else and are standing in for now. Im trying to contact the original creator of these gas pumps to see if he can do a Sunoco Version since the two gas pumps IRM got for the real one, came with it are based on this type of Gas Pump).

I will also like to say many thanks again for Bendorsey who has done an amazing job towards my project. So thank you Ben. Plus the Gas Station is now being uploaded to the DLS
