The Illinois Railway Museum Route

Very nice Matt. When is the estimated completion?
Right now there is no completion date set at the moment, that will come we get all of the custom scenery work is done and lay everything out with the rest of the scenery and remove the Google Map pieces off the route, only then I can think about a release date. The only thing that I have planned out is that this route will most likely be hosted on Trainz Italia since they have took a big interest in hosting it.

Well, I just came up with this question but, do you plan on finding a Milwaukee Road 265 for the back of barn 9 or 10 I believe, I have not been their in so long

well since TUME is doing a model of Milwaukee Road 261, I told him about the 265 (he was surprised that 265 existed) and he says since his model will have ARN, he has the 265 covered.

Nice. Btw how did he not know that 261's only surviving sister #265 still existed? Also, you got skype?
Yes I have Skype and for the other question, Well he is from Germany and he is not from America and he only had heard about the 261 since its so famous, 265 is less famous and to those outside the USA, not many know about it unless they visit IRM.

Did some work on the route today, mostly just tree work but I did work on the private farm crossing area today and here is the new scenery I added to that area

Finally I put down one of the two future planned bridges over Boot Creek that Bendorsey made. This one is the CTA Bridge to provide more track to access a future planned Barn 12 (We will be making that as well).

Ive been working on my route today (I will be posting progress shots in a hour or two) but for now I just want to show you what me and BDW1964 have been up too. We are currently working on the last of the lite up sign for the route and here it is "The Skokie Swift" Sign.

Hey Matt.
Now one question: What are you going to do for engines that are stored in barns? You do know they all are not capable of running. So please let me know how you will fix this problem.

Hello everyone, I have just enough time to do a quick update here on my route. A good amount has been done since I last posted a proper update post so lets begin.

First off the new CTA "Skokie Swift" Sign finished and has been released on BlackDiamond1964's new website here http://blackdiamondworkshop.weebly.com/ (Since he is no longer willing to come back here to the forums, I will be responding to any questions you have about his content by PM only). Here is the sign

Next thing I have to show you is Bendorsey has finished his second small diesel that IRM has in the collection and its DuPont #25.

Plus just this morning I woke up to see DayLightrain has done a nice looking reskin of UP 2-8-0 #428 for me. He did a great job on it and will be a great stand in until I can find the right time to work with Trainboi1 to make a custom new model of the engine (Since I have the drawings) but for now this will do nicely. Thanks for the lovely surprise Daylightrain.

Thats it for now because I have to head off for work now. So until next time stay tuned for more updates to come. :)

The final big sign has been finished and is now been placed on the route. BlackDiamond1964 did a fantastic job on this sign. You can download it now on his website that I linked a few post above.

Here it is on the route.
