Columbus, Ohio route & more

Sorry about the multiple posts :)
So I decided to move Watkins yard to its proper place which means I have to do the West Virginia secondary as well as extend down NS Columbus div. A lot more work to do but I like the challenge. Copying and pasting a yard does not seem to work properly..may be my lack of RAM but I have to move it in pieces and and then make a guess about placement.

So, I normally use JVC(T)Grass2 and JVC(T)Grass splines for weeds. I feel they are a good balance between form and function...however I have yet to find a good "skinny" weed spline. My current go-to is FMA instant grass w 60x3- however I do not like the fact that it has a small draw distance, so if anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

I know! That small draw distance is so frustrating. I don't know any small weed splines, maybe you could place some weeds down and copy them?

All good, Jr loading dock door, yours look smaller then the one I got, like the top fits the trailers better, maybe there is a another version of the door I don't have, i will have to look into it, thanks aging for your time, good luck building

@ justinroth

I share you need for skinny grass. 3x60 sometimes seems a bit too wide.
I have not had the problem with draw distance with FMA grass splines.

The skinny one I seem to use a lot is 'FMA instant grass u 60x3,<kuid2:149987:37043:1>'.

Shown below between the tracks.

This is the one I am having draw distance problems with...probably my sub-par machine.

So I have Watkins yard moved, Valley crossing done as well as south portals. I felt adding the west Virginia secondary was unavoidable so I am now in the process of finishing that up, as well as redoing interlockings to function with the set path rule.

Been busy trying to get this route done. decided to transfer to 2012 and of course there are still problems to sort out, though I am happy with how it looks as compared to 2010.

Most of what I have been working on is the end of the NS's columbus district, which passes through Watkins yard, the south side of Columbus and terminates at CW tower. Lots of stuff going on in this area as it used to be a large pennsy and n&w yard. Most of the immense trackage as well as Columbus union station is gone, leaving behind some industry, urban decay and of course, RT. 670 which no occupies the corridor in which the PRR yard once sat.

Really odd to see a grain elevator in the middle of a city, especially the "bad" side of the tracks. The real version is much more decrepit...in fact it may not even exist anymore.
