Although I found these original signal box diagrams as used in the signal boxes along the former Wisbech branch line, I haven't yet been able to source anywhere on the internet the original track diagram as was used in 'Wisbech Goods Junction' signal box, of which this box controlled the entrance and exit roads for Wisbech East Goods yard (that stood near to Wisbech East Station).

So if anyone on these forums knows where I can source the original signal box diagram as used in 'Wisbech Goods Junction' signal box for use on my project I will be most grateful towards you. ;)

Unfortunately I can't give you a direct answer but may I suggest the following, assuming you have not tried them already:

http://www.signalbox.org/

http://www.s-r-s.org.uk/index.php

http://www.gersociety.org.uk/

I'm not saying that what you require is on any of those websites, you will need to contact them and ask if anybody has (and is willing to share) what you want.

You could also try contacting March museum, I know they hold some local railway stuff:

http://www.marchmuseum.co.uk/

Good luck.

Chris

Thanks for that useful information, Chris.

I could also try my own museum as they hold various artifacts from Wisbech East Station and also some artifacts from the signal boxes along the former branch line.

Andy.

I've made a number of signal boxes that look very close to the one in the photo.

If none are quite right let me know which one comes the closest and I'll send you the original Gmax mesh so you an modify it to your hearts content, lol.

Hi ben

It's not the signal box in the B&W photo I'm after on the DLS. It's the L.N.E.R. or BR track diagram that Wisbech Goods Jnc box used, that I am trying to find on the internet, as like the other real diagrams I've posted earlier in this thread. My local railway book 'Branch Lines Around Wisbech' doesn't have any signal box diagrams included for the former route it covers.

Bingo !

Or at least I think so ...

They are paper copies for sale but you might get an image instead, they may be redrawn so might not be exactly what you are looking for. Personally I prefer a copy or photo of an original - but if you just need the track & signalling layout then redrawn may do.

The site was updated in Feb this year so hopefully it's still going.

Ben, I don't know who you made them for, but can I just say thanks for the Robin Hoods line signal boxes, and also the Alloa swing bridge and Throsk signal box you made. I knew knothing of the railway history in these places, until discovering your models. If I didn't have so many routes of my own on the go, I would be tempted to have a go at making a route including them myself.....
