Nice work Kimo. I've been considering something similar for my route to add a branchline without taking away from the mainline running area. I have a few ideas to make that easier that I'll look at working on over the next week or so.

Alright, back on topic. I forgot how much fun route building is, especially model railway routes.

First yard out of the west fiddle is based on Narrandera with a few adjustments to suit multiplayer sessions. The coal train in shot wouldn't normally be out this far, but it's my minimum loop length and grade test train.

Really like you're textures and grass in those Australian pics. In fact, I like everything on your website especially the Caltex servo!

Thanks. Glad people are finding them useful. :)

A few more before I head to bed. Didn't get to spend much time on the route today. Sorted the main line tunnels under the coal mine balloon and build the west fiddle yard. Six through traffic storage loops (500m - or 5.7m in HO), two terminating loops with a run-around loop and loco sidings, and a balloon loop under the layout with a multi-industry to handle all loads and unloads. I want to avoid using portals for this. It feels like cheating. :p

Where did you fella's get the Carpet for the Floor? All I have is Faux Wood Tiles. Also looking for better Wall Back Drops (All I have is Mason/Brick). Basically looking for more assets for doing Model Trainz, and pointers appreciated.

You could also check out my assets, name search for "C+ MR" on the DLS.

Edit: Not forgetting the model railway assets by "RayWhiley".

Search for "huge" and you will find a few walls (plaster might be something you like), stickers (don't touch), decoration (pictures, clock), and a hall base (different floor with pillars).
Also search for "particle" to find a few particle wood splines as alternative to the "10m stone wall", both painted and plain.

I'm not sure what's causing it but I have a bit of a problem with screeenshots coming out very dark on 'model raildoadz' - I suspect it's something to do with narrow spaces between 'huge' walls messing with the lighting. Has anybody else encountered this sort of 'dark' issue....

Thats tweaked up about as far as I'm happy with in both brightness and contrast, but it's still a pretty flat, dark screenie...

Is it the entire scene, or just the walls/backdrop? It could be dependent on the sun position. When I was planning my route I made sure I was running the majority of the track east-west so the sun wouldn't cross the angle of the track creating environmental shading on the backdrop. Your backdrop splines having different shading is a good example of what i was trying to avoid.

Question: How do you make the edges look round?
Ive been trying to make them but they overlap the track.

Raphael.

Sorry for the late reply.

where is that track at its so cool lol and what route is that me want it

TSM WWL SK 8 on the DLS. Still in WIP mode, its a virtual attempt at the HO scale Santa Fe Emporia Sub.

Nice screenshot kimo!! How did you put markings on your roads?? Looks cool!!

Height adjusted as close to the surface of the road as possible.

Wow Kimo nice work.
Ever considering releasing those ModelTrainz Routes?
Regards,
Raphael.

The very first one I created in TS10 on an older computer over a year ago was supposed to be my first ever release. The problem was it had a lot of broken assets and payware and wouldn't upload to the DLS. I revised the route without the payware but trying to fix or replace the broken assets was an ordeal and my computer at that time kept crashing Trainz. So I gave up and bought a new computer and now it I really don't have a lot of spare time with Trainz other than to make these little scenes I put together on one or two baseboards to do a screenshot. but I enjoy creating these little dioramas as much as I would creating a whole DEM type Subdivision. I'll download someone else route and edit it to my personal taste. So Sorry, I don't consider myself to be a very good route creator, especially when it comes to all the " bells and whistles" i.e. switches, signals, triggers, markers, etc. But if you find my screenshots inspiring, help yourself to something bigger and better. Anyway, time to put it in its proper place. The route that started Model Railroadz.
