Steveo241's Skinz

I figured I would stop clogging up USA Pics and consolidate all of the shenanigans I've been up to to one thread.

Here's where I stand on releasing things. Personally, I can't. If JointedRail has interest in releasing them, I'm all for it, however I feel my work is sub-par (none of the models were/are meant for release so I would likely have to go back through each one and nitpick all the details to get them up to JR quality) and by no means should be payware in their current state.

None of the models have Auto-Renumbering since I can't (at least I don't think I can) move where the actual numbers are, I can only change what they look like without the original mesh. The numbers I choose usually have some loose reasoning which I may or may not go into detail about in the descriptions. I really appreciate everyone's support on these too, I didn't think anyone would like them as much as it seems people do. Your suggestions are always welcomed to make them better, and requests, although I may not get to them right away, are always welcomed as well.

So without any further adieu...

The reason a lot of these are SD70ACe models is due to the fact that the railroads either had orders for the locomotives in before they were acquired, or they would have purchased them further on down the line if they existed today... and the fact that there already is a Conrail GEVO. More to come eventually...

If you have the RBMN SD38, I'd like to see that reskinned to C&IM 72, and also into I&M. Pwetty Pwease? :)

Awesome stuff, Steve!

I would think the Conrail units would have had the white bib up front, as all the AC locomotives they actually owned had it.

Great work, Steve! Glad to see you started your own thread for them. Keep up the great work.

The BN one is pretty awesome, but the huge BNSF logo on the side is killing it for me.

Otherwise nice skins

Great Northern SD70MAC (For whatever reason, I can't get rid of the dark patch on top of the nose. Personally it peeves me...)

I don't think it looks too bad...

Jointed Rail should release a payware package of your repaints in a "Fictional Heritage Pack" of locos.

If that were the case, I would likely go through Andrew Fletcher's list of CSX Heritage Units and do those before anything. I know quite a few people have wanted those.

Slaybay has already done them, in the process of making custom cabs and bringing them to SP1. He has two so far(freeware).

Well, I'm off of my Heritage Unit spree and onto filling a void in the world of Trainz...
