Dock and Port screenshots

Great pictures guys, I'll have to try my hand at G-Max-ing some ships, Been looking for some good side views of the Royal navy's invincible class carrier. So if anyone knows where I can find such images. You may see some modern* Royal Navy ships coming in the next few months.
Depending on how quick I can find the info I need, I could get HMS Invincible done in time for the 26th anniversary of the Falklands conflict.

""Also, I don't see why people would get up-set by the submarine pens in France, they are part of history and unless we learn from our history we are bound to repeat it. I don't see a problem with the pens, if we get upset by the period layout seen in the thread, I don't see it being any more of an issue than the pearl harbour one. Both will bering up emotions in both young and old, but we shouldn't get up-set or mad at somone for re-modeling such a place. Noe if it was Auschwitz then yes, get up set, but the submarine pens? People have made many symbols of Nazi germany, in the form of tanks, subs, boats, soldiers, artillery etc, How would you like them to be used?""

*When I say modern I mean early 80's 90's. The royal navy is getting a few new classes of warships in the shape of the Type 45 destroyer, the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers and the Astute class submarines.

These are some great screenshots, excellent work. I love the sheds in this shot, are they available anywhere. They could work well with a USA Airforce Base that was in WWII in Australia that I and another person are working.

Is this the same carrier that I had once, I thought its was a little oversize for Trainz but then I may be thinking of another one.

I deleted the site link the other day but I still have the files (in storage) for them.

Pearll Harbor submarine base

bonsoir,
U.S. Submarines in Pearl Harbor
7 December 1941

There were four U.S. submarines in Pearl Harbor during the attack:

USS Narwhal (SS-167) - Moored starboard side to pier No. 4, Submarine Base, Pearl Harbor, T. H.
USS Dolphin (SS-169) - Moored port side to pier No. 4, Submarine Base, Pearl Harbor, T. H.
USS Cachalot (SS-170) - Moored port side to Berth 1, Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, T. H.
USS Tautog (SS-199) - Moored port side to south side of pier No. 2, Submarine Base, Pearl Harbor, T. H.

Please note: some sources list five submarines in Pearl Harbor during the attack, the fifth being USS Cuttlefish (SS-171).
According to her official history, "She departed Pearl Harbor on 5 October 1941 and was in drydock at the Mare Island Navy Yard on 7 December 1941
when Japanese forces made their infamous attack on Pearl Harbor."
At least one source lists USS Gudgeon (SS-211) as being present during the attack, but according to her official history,
on that day "she was at sea and out of the attacking area."

FORT KAMEHAMEHA

Bonsoir,
In order to protect Pearl Harbor from sea attacks or landing attempts, the American built several fortifications all around the island.
Here are some screenshots of fort KAMEHAMEHA that protects the southern coast of Pearl and the entrance of the navy yard.
It's made of two batteries, HAWKINS battery equiped with two 14" railguns and HASEBROUK battery equiped with two 12" railmortars.(Thanks to BENDORSEY for those two guns)
On December the 7th, The JAPANESE airstrike will blow away 5 crews in FORT KAMEHAMEHA.

Hopefully everyone sees the funny side of my next comment :hehe:

One thing I do not like about this thread is that we see some great content that many times is not available on the DLS :hehe: :hehe:

Some great ideas and content here by dreddman and coutumariee :mop: :mop:

If any one would like to see photos of "real" WWII batteries and other guns used to protect US "bases" I have some from the Philippines, maybe they would be good enough for others to create content from.

I do not have diagrams of the guns but people are standing next to them to get an idea of size.

Craig

Those are some great screenshots there Jean-Guy, they are very realistic! It is interesting how they had such big guns mounted on 3ft gauge track. Keep it up!

Hi, guys -

Great screenshots! Are these routes/assets being released and if so, where could we download them?

Thanks for the pics!

Boco

reskins or not reskins, that is the question !!!!!!!!!!

I like the way my civil war stretcher bearers were reskinned to fit in lol uploading some goodies for you at the moment you should get emails soon with dl link :D

It's not always easy to find what you want to make beautiful screens.
You must sometimes reskinw what's available as long as it remains for personal use.
Thank you , I got your emails .
