Thanks for the x4200. I could never have fixed it alone.
I have kept the old one to remind me how to fix things.
How about having a go at the X3800?
I took one look at the errors/warnings and fled.
It is no longer available on the DLS.
Does this make it difficult to repair from a moral/legal point of view?

by deneban on March 14th, 2014 at 07:59 AM
Let's take a moment from Fostoria to discuss how the critical point of backing up your Trainz data can be addressed in the latest Windows operating system.

Here is a discussion and screenshots showing how Windows 8.1 has a built-in facility which can easily make periodic backups of your Trainz data without you ever interrupting your game. You can restore any or all files from any backup if you need to.

There are two methods, 1) "File History" (found in Control

Continuation of post "Windows 8.1 built-in abilities to back up your Trainz data" :

3. Drilling down into the image backup folder, you'll see contents like this. Select the image that your Trainz folder is on. You can recognize the image by its size relative to the other images captured. In this example, the Trainz folder is on the drive with the most data, so the largest image is selected. If you proceed and guess the wrong image file, just revert back to this step.

Fostoria Rail Fan Park Opened November 15

by deneban on November 18th, 2013 at 04:52 PM

Fostoria Rail Fan Park Opened Nov 15

After ten years of being a political football, the Fostoria Rail Fan Park finally opened last Friday, Nov 15th. Situated within the "Iron Triangle", the park, open from dawn to dusk, gives rail-fans an official place to observe the high traffic level of CSX and NS trains hammering across two adjacent diamonds, and a third in the observable distance. The
