There is a manual patch available from: http://download2.ts2009.com/49922_to_57720.exe - 1,848,746 KB
The automatic patch will be available soon.
The following changes have been implemented for this Patch:
- In-game Downloadable Content (Payware and Freeware).
- Improved multi-player support.
- Updated support for tunnels, bridges, power lines etc (splines).
- Improved session workflow (rules, nesting, copying etc).
- Automatic thumbnail generation for routes and sessions.
- Rewritten train coupling physics.
- Improved CMP error detection and validation.
Note: To take advantage of our new DLC system, this latest patch will need to be installed.
Previously purchased DLC will now automatically attempt to download and install. If you wish to disable this feature you may do so via the in-game options menu (http://tinypic.com/r/ivkg80/6)
We have seen a few users have their patch fail with similar symptoms, we've managed to work out that Trend Micro antivirus software seems to be interfering with the patch. If you have this antivirus program, you will need to disable it while you are patching TS12 SP1 or it will likely fail.
We haven't had any confirmation of any other antivirus software affecting the patch at this stage, but it is probably a good idea to disable any you have on your system while patching just in case.

Since finalising this patch we have become aware of an issue that causes some locos/rolling stock to derail while coupling. We have identified the issue and are testing a possible fix now. If all goes well we will be making an additional hotfix patch for SP1 to rectify this issue and releasing it by the middle of next week.
Specifically, locos and rolling stock with the tag "max-coupler-gap 0" in their config files will not couple to other locos or rolling stock. Instead, they will collide and derail. This could lead to AI drivers derailing in sessions, depending on the circumstances. This effects several built in assets at the moment, including:
BR Conflat A Diag 1/061,
BR standard van,
BR 12T Fitted Shock Van,
BR 12T Fitted Van,
BR 13T Steel Open Diag 1/019,
BR 8T Cattle Wagon,
CHN ND5-1(GE C36-7),
Several other 3rd party/DLS assets may also be affected.
As this is a code issue, the hotfix patch will fix the issue without the need to modify content. While we acknowledge that this has the potential to be a serious issue, we believe it doesn't not warrant taking down the patch at this time.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
