You might remember this layout from the old forums. This time its revised and bigger, much. I'll put screens up now and more later. the line runs from newbury to blair, its very talyllyn-ish. tell me what you think!

Nice stuff redline41190!

A couple suggestions however:

A) Rotate textures using the bracket keys ( [ and ] ) to blend them together.

B) Download some of the grasses from www.trainzitalia.com to add in order to give the route the Welsh natural look.

C) Use more than one texture for the ground instead of just grass, it gives it a more detailed look!

It is good looking so far! Keep up the good work :)

its not anywhere near done,

1, the grass is just the underlying texture, the towns have many textures, and there will be farms all over the place.

could you point me to the place where I can get the grass on trainz italia? (its really hard to fnd)
and I alreday have Ciuif series of grasses if thats waht you meant

ahhh good ol' rhieds. i havent heard much from myself about it:rolleyes:
uhhh.. currently, its on the back burner, mutter: Alaric Vale Railway *cough*. but when i get back to it, ill probably delete it and start it over. The AVR (alaric) has taught me some things about planning, textruing, and building placement, so i think it would be best to re-start this project. I'll probably get to it over Christmas break, and might be done before the new year. so i hope to get started this weekend or so when i finish the AVR versions (winter and summer)

Oh and I'll also be making the Rhieds in both winter and summer versions:D

What did you use to add the 'Rhieds Railway' titles onto the loco?

ummm. photoshop. its the only thing i own that can edit .TARGA images, its was quite simple (just use the type tool and put it on, and if you want it on he other side you flip is upisde down and move it over to the top (at least thats how it was with Talyllyn)) of course with permission from Kevmt

geeeeez its been ages.

I've since deleted this from my computer, I have plans to re-build it, but I'm caught up in school, The Tattoo locomotive, The M3 GTR, and my modular NG board layouts. I also see that I totally violated Kevmt's screenshots rule. It was soooo long ago that I started this route...

Well if anyone is still interested the original one is on the DLS (search: my user name or Rhieds Railway) its not that good and only one or two boards, but its a layout... :rolleyes:

this will probably get a new life in may or june (2007) when I get out of school:D
