Jeffmorris, while I was checking the layout, I noticed a few things.
Stations
The Chatham Square station platforms don't match the tracks as follows:
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i105/denzophotos/trainz/th_6eaf8b8f.jpg (http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i105/denzophotos/trainz/6eaf8b8f.jpg)
Did you mean to have the station rotated?, but when you do rotate the platforms still don't match the track.
Signals & platforms
Where are all the signals, you haven't got any signals at all.
Is their anyway to include the "passenger active" stations, in place of the "trackside stations"?
Especially on some of the above ground sections, you should have included a small backdrop.
South Ferry Is South Ferry terminus really underwater?

I may have moved one of the stations to place the other station on one set of the the tracks and forgot to move the station back. I thought about adding support for "animated" passengers but the NYCTA subway system has about 475 stations and I'm worried that all of the "animated" passengers will turn the fastest computer into the slowest computer. The real "South Ferry" station was built close to the river with the ferry terminal just about 25 feet away. The new station is being built under a park where the old fort was located.

I'm in then process of putting some trackmarks, signals in, but also I had to adjust the track that goes from 207th on Route 1 to Dyckman St on Route A like so:

thats suppose to be like the entrance to 207th street yards. but in this case its an entrance to the IND tunnels.

Unlike trackside objects that snap to tracks, stations with support for "animated" passengers have to be placed on the layout as if they are scenery objects and single spline tracks have to be inserted between stations and elevated track structures or tunnels.

Just wondering why does the 7 extend past Main Street and why is the South Ferry area different to all the maps i have?

Andi06 Station Kit platforms should be perfect for this. Line them up, rotate to match, then lower them to track level, attach them and snap the Jeffmorris station to the assembly.
With these, people can go in and enable the stations they want to use. But sparingly! Servicing 475 stations could be a bit of a chore.:D

jubo, please visit the website at this link: http://www.nycsubway.org/index.html
Plans for new routes and expansions are on this link: http://www.nycsubway.org/articles/historyindependentsubway.html
Most of the new routes and expansions were never built or abandoned. On my NYCTA2007 route, I created most of new routes and expansions based on the plans and added my own plans. For new "South Ferry" station and expansion of the IRT "7" route in Manhattan, visit website at this link: http://www.mta.info/capconstr/index.html

Hi Jeff and Red Rattler is right about Chattum infact the subway runs right through the sta. as it goes right going uptown have not tried it downtown yet . Let my know how to fix it Mario other wise good till 125th St :)

To fix it you simply go into trackside then use the arrow tool to slide it along and into position, so it lines up with the tunnels at either end.

no offense Jeff, but your content isnt exactly top quality
i applaud your efforts though, i know it must take A LOT of time to make all the stuff you make. but you should experiment with more detailed textures, buildings, track, and so forth.

I'm not a good artist. I'm good at creating 3D models but not good at creating materials for them. It's like I'm good at woodworking but not good at painting pictures.

Maybe someone on the forum should help you with it. I am a good texture maker. PM me if you want help.

Jeff, I have to agree with Klinger's last post, now where was I, oh yeah, Jeff, as a test, I've added a camera underground at two of the stations - only one problem when you put cameras below ground level though!!

Jeff the old version of nycta 2007 had open cuts so that you could go to
other end of the train to change directions. this version you can't do this.
I feel like once I go in one direction that's , any way to fix this, I can see
to get underground to see anything. It show up for 1 second and that it.

I surveyor find the layout and place trains, this should make it appear in driver mode. I find it hard to have sessions in this layout with no track marks or the like however it is an excellent depiction of the subway.

I'm not sure if I should make a new thread for this or not, but I've noticed that the NYC Subway has several stations with the same name for example:
Their are three 86 Street stations (on both sides of Central Park), about five Canal Street stations, two 34 Street-Penn Stations, but a very good example are two Park Places, one at the south end of Manhattan Island, and another Park Place on the Franklin Ave - Prospect Park Shuttle.
Are their any extra wordings on the official station names with the same names to distinguish them from other stations with the same name, or has NYC truly got multiple different stations with the exact same name? (If so it must be confusing to passengers/ticket sellers)
Jeff, on the Franklin Ave - Prospect Park Shuttle, you have Fulton Street as the terminus, yet two subway maps both use the name Franklin Ave.

There are streets named "Broadway" in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. I thought that Broadway was in Manhattan only. The Franklin Avenue shuttle runs along Franklin Avenue and ends at Fulton Street. I knew that the tracks on what is now Franklin Avenue shuttle turned into BMT Fulton Avenue route before that route was torn down and replaced by the IND Fulton Avenue route. I think that a new station was built at the end of the shuttle when the BMT Fulton Avenue route was torn down. The "Tracks of NYC Subway" book said that the station at the end of the shuttle is "Fulton Street". I was using that book when I was creating my NYCTA subway system. Can someone go to the station at the end of the shuttle and see its name?

You need to learn how to fire up surveyor and place some trains on the steel rails.

On the Franklin Ave (Fulton St) - Prospect Park shuttle, were their any stations called Dean St & Consumers? (They were marked on the wall maps of a Subway store.)
jeffmorris
March 4th, 2008, 05:33 AM
There was Dean Street station on Franklin Avenue Shuttle but it was torn down when the shuttle was rebuilt several years ago. MTA was planning to shut down the shuttle but people living around the shuttle protested. I don't know of station called "Consumers".

Consumers Park was the original Botanic Garden station. It t=was torn down in the 1930s and replaced with Botanic Garden
jeffmorris
March 4th, 2008, 04:58 PM
The 1925 BMT map said "Botanic Garden" with Ebbets Field between that station and "Prospect Park".
