Is there some reason that a registered user cannot post to the "Workshop" areas - specifically the "Freeware" forum?
thanks,

Yes there is a reason why and it's because it's accessable to users who have registered their Trainz serial number in their Planet Auran profile. If you've already done this are you logging on with the username and password that you used to register your Trainz product? If the answer is yes. Are you logged in? If the answer is yes and you still can't access it then you'll need to contact helpdesk (http://www.auran.com/helpdesk/).

There's a blip in the default settings for new users (I can't understand what makes it difficult to fix), preventing users who registered after the great forum crash of 2006 (that's you, but not your fault).
Just send a polite email to Alan at helpdesk as dh2k3 says, but I think the queue is steadily growing so expect a fix to take a few days.

PS: Dave - you need to be logged on to post at all.
