Portals

I've been away from Trainz 2004 for some time. I have a new computer, and I've re-installed Traainz 2004 and the Service Packs, so I' m on Build 2370.

From memory, I thought that Portals originally made their appearance in Trainz via one of the Service Packs, but I don't seem to have them in my Surveyor.

I've looked at the portals available on the DLS but really, I only want the basic one that I had before.

Can anyone throw any light on what has happened to them? Where have they gone?

According to my TO, Portal is part of TRS2004 and Portal Basic comes with SP4.

These items are found under objects the same place as you find houses etc

They are definitely not in Surveyor.

I have gone through the entire list of objects, which is where I expected to find them in the first place, and they are definitely not there!

I think I'll probably have to download SP4 again.

Try looking in objects with TRS2004 selected in the first options box and All in the second one

This is weird!

I've just hooked up an exterior hard drive that I used to use on my old computer, and TRS2004 is on there, with all the content I've downloaded in the past, together with all of my own (worthless!) creations!

It's the same version that I've got on the main drive. Best of all, Portals are there where they should be!

I think my main drive version must be corrupted in some way!

Anyway, I'm happy now!
